Chinese food sounded good after work, and given I am not from here I found this place on Google. This is my walnut shrimp. As... you can see I took it to go. Pro - it was up very fast. I am left wondering where the walnuts are. I see pecans. So maybe thisdish needs a rename? Not sure what I was expecting but fried shrimp drenched in what tastes like mayonnaise with no walnuts wasnot it. I would go here again, but I would stay away from this dish. Read more

Great food and good value. The food is high quality and made of good ingredients. Ordered water boiled fish (spicy fish filets... in a red chili sauce). It?s nice to have filets without a bready crust. Kung pao chicken was tasty with lots of peanuts andnumbing pepper. I chickened out and got a ?hot spice? level 1. I?ll go for something spicier next time. Read more

Had the absolute best meal here on Friday! We got the wonton soup, dry fried eggplant, crazy beef, kung pao chicken crazy... spicy, and chicken fried rice crazy spicy. Food came out quickly and was amazing. They delivered on the spice and flavor 100% Read more

I learned of Peter Chang back in 2020 while researching the best Chinese restaurants in the Maryland area and finally got to... dine there in person last Sunday. The beef tendon and tripe was served in the most flavorful chili oil I?ve ever had. And thatincredible flavor was consistently present in every single dish. The spicy shrimp dry pot being my absolute favorite. Thequality of ingredients and cooking left me satisfied and content. Until my next visit. Read more

Nice decor. Good location. Clean. The best part of the meal was the service and the appetizers. This is a borderline 4 star... restaurant due to the appetizers but there were too many things off to earn 4. The crispy pork belly and fried eggplant aredelicious. They are mouthwatering goodness. The salt and pepper shrimp was not very good compared to other local restaurants, like East Pearl, and at $21 it was overpriced. The double cooked pork belly lunch special was decent. Be prepared for friedrice that is not flavorful and appeared to barely have anything added to it other than a little egg. If they would have addedeven a little soy sauce when cooking it would have helped. It needed seasoning. More importantly, rice is an add on. I find thisto be laughable. It's not much of a charge (50 cents for white and 1 dollar for fried) but the fried rice isn't worth a dollarand every other Chinese restaurant in the greater Rockville area gives it to you free. Lunch specials come with a small springroll and hot and sour soup. The soup is tasty and so is the spring roll but it is very small. But again, no rice. I would onlyreturn to buy the same appetizers as this time. They are fantastic but to be honest, I'm not going back to just get fried food. You eat it fresh or it won't be the same and appetizers this decadent aren't reason enough. It would cause the most deliciousheart attack in history but who wants a heart attack. :) Taste is subjective but consider that I dine in or buy takeout atleast twice a week at Chinese restaurants in Montgomery County. This is some of the best Chinese food you can find in the DMV. I love Peter Chang's restaurants and I have been to this location... many times over the years. We moved away for two years and just tried this place again after coming back to the area. There havebeen a few disappointing changes to the menu, but the food is just as delicious as ever. This is a review of our most recentvisit this past weekend. We came around 12:30PM on a Sunday and there were lots of open tables. Despite having only a fewtables to serve, the service was a bit poor. The waitresses waited a long time to take our order. At one point one of them evenasked us if we were ready to order and we told her "yes." But then she disappeared again for a while and another servereventually came out to take our order. This server didn't write down anything when we were ordering and this resulted in herforgetting to enter one of the dishes we wanted. By the time we realized that last dish wasn't coming, we realized that theother dishes we had were enough food, so we just let it go. Their menu has become smaller and they took off several dishes thatwe always ordered in the past, like the lamb skewers and the boneless whole fish with pine nuts. They literally got rid of mytwo favorite dishes! We had the bubble pancake, dry-fried eggplant, sauteed cumin lamb, pork shank, and fish filet in stonepot. The pancake was good, but the flavor of the curry sauce it comes with was not as good as it used to be. The dry-fried eggplant tasted amazing, but they were a bit on the soggier side. The cumin lamb, pork shank, and fish filet in stone pot were alldelicious. The pork shank and fish in stone pot were on the seasonal menu. The fish in the stone pot was flounder served withmixed veggies (mushroom, broccoli, cabbage). The dish is very spicy, but we really enjoyed it. It was my personal favorite outof everything. I had loved Peter Chang since I was introduced to his restaurant in Richmond back in 2011. I have been to all of his restaurants... in the Maryland (Rockville and Bethesda) and Fairfax area. This is truly authentic Szechuan cuisine and you would be a fool notto check it out at least once. And I always get the dry eggplant dish at all of his restaurants. The other dish that's reallygood is the fish curry dish but I don't know the name of it. The golden mountain of shrimp is excellent the twice cooked porkbelly is really great, essentially everything you get is good. And you should definitely try the numbin tofu skin. Read more

First of all I love this place! We ordered the scallion balloon breads, curry cauliflower, mapo tofu, general tso chicken, and... three pepper chicken. They were all very flavorful and tasty. As you can tell I love to eat thing spicy and these guys made itreally well. I wish we could have ate the balloon breads right away but because of pandemic it has to be take out for everyone'ssafety. But the taste was still good although shape changed later due to it being in container. I love the fact that they packedthe carry out items very carefully as well.. Overall the experience was great and I recommend them =) Read more
