Reviews for Niwano Hana in Rockville, MD
I genuinely hated Sushi before Niwano Hana. I can?t even eat Sushi from elsewhere now. Absolutely love. Try the Black & Red... (Absolute favorite), OceanWave, & Alligator Roll. Top faves. Read more
It was my first time trying sushi, I loved the large menu options. The food came out quickly and was very good. I really enjoyed... this place, it has a good Philadelphia roll and my absolute favorite, which you should try, is the crispy shrimp roll! The thingI disliked about this place is that all of the dishware was completely dirty. The cups, the dishes, the bowls. I tried to get agood photo of the food but all I could see was the dirty plate. It worried me about the cleanliness of the restaurant, I'veattached a photo in which you can see how dirty the black plate is. Read more
I like the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is very cozy and small. The food is very delicious, especially the miso soup. The... bento box had an assortment of food and flavors. The salmon was very flavorful, paired with the soy sauce. The shrimp tempurawas very crunchy and it is very savory dipped in the soy sauce. I recommend trying this restaurant out. Read more
We ordered take out chicken udon soup & sea food udon soup this afternoon. I got my food and came home. when I opened the food,... and I found out that they put the soup & the noodle in the same food container which mean all the noodle would absorb all of thesoup and it doesn?t looks or Taste appertizing. They just look so sad! The egg in chicken soup was so overcooked like a rubberbouncey-ball, and they also put yellow spinach in their soup too! We are very disappointed, and we won?t return again!!! Ok so lets get something straight- There is a big difference between good looking sushi and good tasting sushi! Niwano Hana is... a fancy sushi place and their sushi certainly looks good, but if I have to be honest, the shushi at Hinode Restaurant inrockville pike (which is super closeby) tastes much better. Plus, Hinode has an all you can eat sushi menu for just 30 bucks(with taxes) which is a steal in my opinion for what they offer (Sushi + kitchen menu). If you want to try Niwano Hana, Isuggest try their dinner boxes. They taste much better than their Sushi. The only gripe i have with the dinner boxes is thatthey are wayyyy expensive for the amount of food you get. Read more
The food and the ambiance was great. We ordered Shrimp teriyaki, salmon and chicken teriyaki, vegetable tempura, sashimi and... sushi. The food came out really fast. The only complain I have is that the chicken was overcooked and tasted bad. Other thanthat, all the food was great. The server was nice as well. We ordered the fried banana with ice cream for dessert and it wasreally ???? ????. Definitely a good spot for Japanese food. Read more
