Had Mama Lucia of Rockville Pike cater my daughter?s Bat Mitzvah and could it not have been more perfect. Bradley, the manager... is amazing and made the process so easy. Food was delicious and fresh! Highly recommend them. They also had servers andbartenders they can include with the catering and they were also very professional and extremely helpful. Read more

All around solid Italian restaurant, including great pizza. Comes closest in the area to the food I ate growing up in Brooklyn.

Original post 9/21/2022: I am European and this review might be harsh but I have to tell you the truth. It's not Italian food.... Absolutely not. It's definitely very fresh ingredients but unfortunately got nothing to do with Italian cuisine. A shame thatthese fresh ingredients do not become an original italian dish. That's not a lasagna. That's meat with cream cheese divided bypasta plates. They just drizzle the tomato sauce on top of the lasagna so it is literally bathing in the tomato sauce. Mushroomravioli were good. Not delicious but good. As long you do not expect to have Italian cuisine served, this place is quite ok.Pizzas were looking good. We will definitely try one of those next time. Update 9/26/2022: Wow. Had to change my rating from 3to 1 star since the chef seems not to be open for critic. Read more

The pasta, the pizza, the bread weren't seasoned at all. The service was good but the food had no taste at all.

I grew up eating Mamma Lucia's. Started when I was about 6-7 years old in Olney. Then moved on to the Rockville location. My... family and I order at least 3 times a month from them. There's always something wrong with the order. I gave it a break becauseit's been COVID the past 2 years but I don't enjoy getting someone else's order and having to toss it because I don't eatchicken wings. Every time I order a slice or two of pizza it's overcooked, dry, cheese is in the hard phase, or essentially abrick. I slammed my pizza crust against the dining table today and it didn't break... Spoke to ubereats but also this has to dowith the quality of food. Yes, should I have spoken up sooner about all these little misses? Sure. But as a customer who hasbeen supporting their small business from Olney to Rockville to Bethesda Row, I give passes. Today was the last. Please dobetter. Read more

This is one of our favorite restaurants and the pizza is the best in the DC area, in the opinion of our family. (We have done... the buy-one-get-one Tuesday night pizza deal many many times). We also love their pastas and salads, and, of course, the breadand Jimmy sauce. So good! They just remodeled this location and it looks great. ???? Read more

If the pizza was any more cooked, it would?ve been inedible. As a matter of fact, the crust was inedible. I would have returned... it if I had not already been home and was super hungry. Guess next time I will just have to tell them to cook it lightly. Andyes, there will be a next time as I have had good food here before. My sister worked here in high school and would bring goodfood home all the time. Read more
