Close to authentic south Indian cuisine, specifically Tamil Nadu cuisine in the DMV region. Their idly paired with three... chutneys and sambar have been my comfort food here. Only restaurant in the region to provide many side dishes. Spice level canbe customized. Love their paneer butter masala and Rava Dosa. Their Thaali is okayish but a lot better than other options inthis region. Service is slow so prefer To-go. Crowded most of the times. South Indian places are always a hit or a miss but this one despite the ratings was definitely a hit. The idli with Sambar and... Chutneys were so tasty and rich. Masala dosa was spot on. Chicken lollipop was marinated very very well and had a burst offlavor. The goat curry we got was super flavorful and had a good kick. The meat was very soft and tender. Hit close to home! The Cut Mirchi and Gobi Manchurian, both were nice and crispy with a perfect balance of spices. My friend... and I ordered the chilli onion dosa and the rava masala dosa. The rava masala dosa was AWESOME! As for my friend's dosa, itlooked like the chef let it rain with the chillis - totally overwhelmed the palette leaving no room for registering the taste ofthe sambar and accompanying chutneys (which were really good!). The gulab jamun and ice cream was superb except that I was leftwith a sugar rush by the time I finished it. If you're Indian and missing home food, go ASAP! The food here tastes veryauthentic. Service could have been better though. The waiters didn't clear any of our plates till we were done with desserts.So we kind of had to pile all the empty plates at the corner of our small table to make room for what we were eating.
