My husband and I are on vacation in Rockport, we are visiting from Austin. We got a recommendation from one of the souvenir... shops in the main area of town to try this place. It was absolutely wonderful!! The employees are all super nice and even if itisn't their table they still rush to you if you want/need something. The place is very clean. Their prices are fantastic!! Andthe food is SO delicious!!! We both loved it! He got the Rueben sandwich and chips. It was huge. I got the Chicken Club Saladand there was so much that I had to get a to-go container. First visit to this place. Had been told about it by friends who frequent it.. Did the lunch special which was a 1/2 sandwich,... chips and drink @ 10.00. Sandwich was good, chips were chips...just nothing spectacular. Nothing had a " damn that wasgood"..factor. My friends potato soup was decent. Will I go back...pretty sure I will. Might try a different sandwich. Tried theReuben and it was good. But..I have had much better for about the same price. It wasn't grilled, just 2 slices of dark bread anda standard Reuben filling. Really good y'all, but once again I ate all the photos. Here is the gist of it; I had a delicious BLT accompanied by a just as... delicious apple dumpling with ice cream. The end. Oh and the flavored coffee, made just for us, was so good too. Now The End. Read more
Absolutely stellar sandwiches. The bread is homemade, the turkey was roasted in-house. The #28 chicken salad, which shows as... "new" on the menu, was incredible. You can order half sandwiches. I'll take pictures next time, we were apparently too starvingto take any! A+! Read more
We've tried going multiple times when we visit Rockport. First they were closed, then take out only. I almost have up, but today... it was open with dining. It's good. Nothing to write home about, but good. I've eating at some solid sandwich spots andthey're hard they're difficult to compete with. Service was good the the restaurant and bathrooms were clean. I ordered the lobster bisque with a tuna salad both were really good! The waitress didn't get the order correct and brought the... wrong sandwich. It got corrected but took a little longer to get the meal. Other then that we enjoyed the food and everyone wasfriendly! We will be returning! Read more
I've been there 3 times now to keep giving the food another chance but I really just don't think the sandwiches are that good.... I've heard good things about the chicken salad but I'm just not a fan of that in general so I have no say in that. I think itmay be that they put too much of one meat in the sandwich and not enough of the other toppings. I got the baked potato soup andwhen it was placed in front of me there was a little container of toppings hiding behind the cup so I never saw the toppings. SoI ate a plain potato soup because I didn't know that there was toppings to be added. So that was a bummer. I thought it tastedplain, but maybe it's good when the toppings are added. All in all I'm just not a big fan of the overall flavor of the 3different sandwiches I've tried now but they have one redeeming quality. .. That's one of the best chocolate chip cookies I'veever had in my life. So A+ on that! Read more
