By luck we drove by this place and saw that the restaurant was quite busy, So we stop by for lunch. The service was pretty... quick even though they were busy. The food was served hot fresh and it was delicious. The portions of the fish serve were enoughfor 2 people. The corn was hot and sweet. Overall experience was excellent and will return. Read more
Really awesome spot! Great view, and friendly staff. Prices were pretty reasonable for seafood. Highly recommended checking... this place out if you?re traveling off the beaten path. Claws is an institution that you can not miss. As a local to the Midcoast I look forward to when they open for the season and... get pretty bummed when it?s the last week- and it?s convenient location makes it hard not to stop on a more regular basiswhenever I?m driving by. The views are outstanding and it?s an excellent place to wait for the ferry to Vinalhaven or NorthHaven because you can see the ferry enter the harbor just past the breakwater/lighthouse. The menu is just large enough to haveeverything you would want, without doing too much. If you?re looking for seafood on the coast- this is it. Either boiled orfried, the selection is there. Voted best lobster roll in consecutive years - I can understand why (options and amazingquality.) This particular visit I took my mom out for a friend haddock sandwich- perfectly cooked, delicious batter, not greasy- and complimented by a buttery bun and the freshest veg. The lobster Rangoon was 10/10 and I will be getting them more oftennow that I?ve tasted how incredible they are - the dipping sauce was zesty and delicious. Once you order at the window (there isusually a lengthy line so be patient and don?t complain - it?s worth the wait to order) you can choose your own seating on thedeck that is partially covered, but very open air. It?s certainly nice to be able to wait with such an incredible view, and theygive you a little toy/plastic lobster with your order on it to give it that fun authentic summer in Maine feel. Excellent location, service and food. Great price for a lobster dinner. Lobster roll had a great amount of lobster, mom loved... the coleslaw. Nice clean bathrooms. We had no problem parking as it wasn't quite summer tourist season yet. Read more
I ate a dozen lobster rolls on my 2 week vacation to Maine (including Red?s) and this place was hands down the best. The lobster... was perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. I thought they also offered the best roll. We got a 1/2 lb roll and loved it so muchwe got a second one. Now we are kind of broke and it was worth every penny. I promise you won?t be disappointed.
