Reviews for Ada's Kitchen in Rockland, ME
We called to see if we could get on the waitlist on a busy August Saturday night. I was so impressed with the service including... an accurate wait time and a text when our table was ready, enabling us to walk right in and be seated. The service continued toexceed expectations as our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Delicious food and beer! As a local, Ada’s isat the top of my list. Many thanks for a positive experience every time! Read more
At the recommendation of a local, we had an excellent dinner at Ada’s. Sausage Mushroom Pizza was delicious. Service was... outstanding. Everyone in our group was very favorably impressed. Look forward to returning soon. Read more
Firstly, Ada's does not take likely to those without reservations. From the look on the host's face when walking in at 7:30.. to... the 45min wait. We stood outside and watched the restaurant empty before they sat us at the bar. The worst, which is not even myexperience! I witnessed a group of 8 get told a 30min wait, go back in when visible tables are empty, get told a largecancelation "just called in" and 30 minutes later that group gets seated. The table was ready for over 20 minutes. On top ofthat! A hostess named Jen calls over the waitress for the table and the head hostess to "play a game" with the group of 8 thathad just been seated. My wife and I eat our meal and left.. before the entire table was given their full drink order.. man do Ifeel bad for that table of 8. If you're not from around there expect poor service. Not all are treated the same especially ifyou don't have a reservation.. it's the summer in Maine. Ada's might not need the money if they treat people like they do on abeautiful summer night. We stumbled across Ada's after visiting the light house. We had already eaten so we just wanted drinks and a light appetizer. It... was very busy, but the staff was very accommodating and seated us in the lounge which as a fun little area near the bar. Thestaff was super friendly and checked on us frequently. The muscle appetizer was good. We were sad we weren't more hungry becausethe food looked amazing. Read more
Always a great time at Ada's! Their bar staff and wait staff are professional, polite, and very accommodating. Love the craft... cocktails and local selection of beers. Ada's is one of the few places in the area that offer good, vegan meals. We brought inour family visiting from out of state (4 out of 6 adults eat plant based) and we ordered the pickled veggies and marinatedolives to snack on then went with the large family size portions of pesto and veggies as well as marinara pasta and both weredelicious! Definitely worth the stop in for dinner or a drink at the bar with Stacy or Radu and you're guaranteed to have agreat time. Read more
Fantastic food and service. Unfortunately the design of the dining area is deafening and any conversation is nearly impossible... to be had. Between the staff slamming dishes down on the floor directly behind us and the large tables of nearly yellingcustomers, the experience was extremely loud and unpleasant for our entire visit. Wonderful. Fresh pasta, great service, good wine. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area. To start, we had the olives.... Probably the best olives I've had. Super meaty and a wonderful marinade. For our meal, we had the fettuccine Ragu and it wassuper delish. We asked for extra sauce and it didn't disappoint. We finished with tiramisu and while it was good and we finishedit, it is not the best. I'd recommend going another way on it. If I had to do it again I would have picked the truffles. Theservice was great. The ambiance was great. If we were in town another night we would probably eat there again! Read more
