Ordered as soon as we sat down due to only having an hour of time. After 45 minutes our food was not ready, had to take it to... go. Completely understand why it wasn?t busy on a Saturday night. James was a great server place is just ran poorly. Read more

A little hidden gem! We had the bacon grilled cheese (it was on special on a Monday) it was beyond amazing! And the Dragonfly... drink was so good! Service was great and the bathrooms were immaculate, very clean overall. The only problem I had was that Icouldn?t get cell phone service down there, and the prices were a little steep but so worth it! I will be back. Read more

The atmosphere was very nice. The staff was nice. For me, the food was mediocre though. I had a salmon quinoa salad. The salad... itself was good but the salmon was the tiniest piece of salmon I've ever seen. And it's not well seasoned. I was verydisappointed with my meal. Also my waiter told me it would be a 6 oz piece of fish and it was 4 oz. I ordered fries and he saidit would be $4 but they costed $5. Anyhow, he was a nice guy but I was not thoroughly impressed with my experience. I will notinclude his name because as I mentioned before he was a nice guy he just didn't give me the right information. So to sum it up,I'm really not impressed. Read more

The TOWER. What does that word mean to you? What comes to mind when you hear it? A soaring height overlooking sweeping vistas?... In this case, it means a restaurant in the BASEMENT of a hotel overlooking Davis Park at ground level. I feel deceived. A bettername for it might have been the Metropolitan or even Metro (as a callback to the nearby former MetroCentre). If there wassignage directing us where to find the TOWER once we entered the hotel, we didn?t see it. Since we assumed we were going to bein the TOWER, i.e., at a height, we took the elevator to the top floor. There we found out that the eatery was not the TOWER;the TOWER was on the lower/lowest level. No directories in the elevators either?and the buttons are located OUTSIDE theelevator! No changing your mind once you?re in it: you?re there for the entire ride. ATMOSPHERE: Modern industrial; rampantconcrete, stone, and steel. It got quite loud a few times during our dinner (maybe it was the Friday after-work crowd)?we?retalking Texas Roadhouse-level of noise. Some baffling or fabric somewhere, anywhere, would help that. CLEANLINESS: Our tablecould have been wiped down better before we were seated; I could see the towel streaks and water spots. FOOD: The pretzel biteswere very good, but $12 for six is a bit high. The honey mustard and cheese sauces were delicious. My wife says the salmon wasgood; I thought it could stand to be cooked just a tiny bit longer. It came with a purple vegetable that looked like carrots butcertainly didn?t taste like one; kind of bitter tasting. The pizza was very greasy, quite sizable for the price, but not allthat tasty. SERVICE: Friendly and attentive; our water glasses were always full. But it did take a while to get our check andthen have it processed. Read more

I was not impressed with the food or the service. I was there with a party of approximately 20 people celebrating a friend's... birthday. Most of the party was disappointed. Some received appetizers after the main course. Some never received them. It took30 minutes, some an hour before drinks came to the table. Our meals took almost an hour to come to the table. We had 1inexperienced waitress to serve everyone. For this restaurant to be housed in a 3-4 star hotel. It does not meet the industriesstandards. The service and food was subpar. Very disappointing! Went for 69th birthday lunch for my dad with his wife, my wife and 2-year old son. Good food and I love the little... things?quality flatware, chilled salad bowls, good presentation. The best part though was that Megan treated us like family. Read more

Came here with my mom for a late lunch to close out Rockford Region Restaurant Week. We started with 2 cocktails?the Cranberry... Maple Bourbon and Indian Summer Margarita?both of which were delicious. We partook in the Pick Two Lunch Combo, and every singlething was good! We shared the queso blanco mac & cheese, the grilled cheese, the roast beef & Swiss, and prime beef sliders; thelast two were our faves. It was just the right amount of food without being stuffed, just pleasantly food. Our server Mara wasvery sweet and just the right amount of attentive, as well as offering helpful opinions on the menu. We?ll definitely be back.Hope this place sticks around! Read more
