I want to start out by thanking Bill for taking my order at 8:45 PM on Monday evening (Labor Day) although the restaurant was... already closed and the staff was leaving to go home. It?s very rare nowadays that you still find such levels of hospitality andaccommodation anywhere. The food is absolutely incredible!!! It?s prepared with love and attention to detail . I ordered theburger with sweet potato fries. Yes I said sweet potato fries!!! never have I tried fries made out of sweet potato but if you docome here I recommend that you don?t pass this up because you?ve been missing out. My wife and I were in Dover, NJ and then heading back home to Glen Rock and spontaneously stopped at the Red Hut Diner for... lunch. I know it's a good place to stop, if my wife doesn't yell, "NOPE!" first. She didn't. We were greeted by a friendly ladyas soon as we walked in and we were seated in a booth by a window. Very clean restaurant and a nice atmosphere. We had greatservice and some delicious comfort food. I had a Texas Burger (without the BBQ sauce) and my wife had some type of omelette. Walking in the place looks clean and inviting. My husband ordered the bananas foster waffles which were yummy! I had the 3 egg... omlette with sausage, onions and cheese. It was loaded and tasted great! Homefries and toast came with that. The coffee wasgood! Our server was nice and got our order in quick-food came out fast and hot. We are extremely disappointed in Red Hut Diner. I understand supply chain issues and inflation, but I just paid $40 for a small... side salad, a completely naked turkey burger and a sad tuna melt. In the past when I have ordered a turkey burger without friesthe burger comes with lettuce, tomato and onion with coleslaw and pickle on the side. Apparently, due to changes in the menu,unless you order a deluxe with fries you only get a burger on bun and nothing else. The tuna melt looked like it was onlybuttered with tuna and covered with a slice of cheese. The bread was untoasted (requested toasted) and soggy. First worldproblems, I know. But, when you only go out once a week because you're trying to save money, and that meal is this disappointingit's very frustrating. We spoke to the manager who said that the person who took our order should have asked us if we wanted"extras". Maybe that would have helped with the burger, but there's no excuse for the tuna melt. The classic basic dinner with modern decor. The food is on the normal side so don?t go in thinking you?re getting the best... pancakes of your life, It?s more of a quick bite place. It?s a diner so there?s plenty of options to choose from. The service isok, it seems like they can use more youthful staff members. Fries are good!!! Read more

We went here specifically so I could have some gluten-free options. The menu had gluten-free options listed clearly. Both... pancakes and fench toast are available for those that need gluten-free. I chose the Banana Nut Pancakes and the portion wasgenerous. I would have loved more banana, but still very much enjoyed the meal all the same. The atmosphere was nice, but thereis not really much waiting space during their rush. Other than that, I enjoyed this place and I would come back here to tryother gluten-free options. Read more
