Tacos have no flavor. The last time we ordered we thought maybe it was fluke or because it was a Tuesday. Ordered today and they... have zero flavor just scrambled hamburger in a shell. Called the restaurant and was told to call back tomorrow because there wasnothing she could do. Read more
Great staff, best beer... coldest beer and best frosted mug ever! Fun spot to shoot the breeze and laugh. Food was good. Thank... you!!! Read more
I am done with Rudys. Your hard shell tacos are like chewing leather! This has happened multiple times on to go orders. Well... Rudys know where they can go! Read more
Not much flavor at all and my hardshells where super hard... What always brought us there was the shredded beef burritos... smothered in gravy and they stopped having the gravy so not sure if we will go back Read more
If i could give a zero star review i would. The Place shouldn't be in business. To put this into perspective we were the only... people in there. My sisters food was so dry it was inedible. The chips a queso was terrible. Chips were stale and chewy and thequeso was all stuck in one block and was cold. I ordered the street tacos and the meat had zero seasoning and the tacos werehard shell instead of soft shells. I asked for a refill on my water and I had to wave her down 30 min later to get my water. When I went to tell her how our food was inedible she became very rude and said we should have told her but she didn't visit ourtable for 30 min and would have been more if I didn't wave her down to tell her I needed my water. As a person who loves food. And has great respect for our local establishments that have their roots right here. How is this... place still open? Once a year we all have a place or 2 we want, dare I say almost crave. The bright orange neon cheese alwaysover abundant on our tacos is something you wanted. Only from this place was it needed. Hot sauce was actually the best thing Iliked. Forever did the Americanized version of this cuisine hold true. To me. And many others. Not any more. How dissatisfied, disappointed, and down right flabbergasted at the no flavor, over cooked, grocery store tasting meat. I'm sorry for those Ioffend. This is why institution's sometimes must bow out. Well, this was the last Rudy's on my list to see if it would disappoint and guess what? It did! I had high hopes since this is... the closest one to home. My wife and I came in since we had a Tap On It and thought if the food or drink was not good that atleast we were only out half as much. We ordered just sodas and my wife made sure to mention up front that we had a Tap On It.The waitress said "Sorry! We don't accept Tap On It. We don't have the equipment to accept it." Equipment? You subtract thelowest price meal from the ticket and WALA! We double checked Tap On It and it had no restrictions other than maybe the commontwo drink purchase. She did ask if we still wanted to order and my wife and I knew that this would be the last trip to Rudy'sForever so we did order and it was good for American Mexican. The waitress was pretty good but I just hope that she knew whatshe was talking about when she told us that. Usually I take pictures of my dish for reviews but there wasn't anythingspectacular to take a pic of. We figured since the East Village and Moline were also a bust and how this went about that we werejust chalking it up to the Rudy's Curse. There are just too many places to eat at in the Quad Cities to have epic fails. Wetruly like leaving 4 and 5 Star Reviews, so if we are leaving a two Star, it is going to be more than a paragraph ;-) Read more
