Just finished a date night and we had such a great experience! Reservation was easy, very intimate, table was ready with... menus/silverware, and Blake (our waiter) was very attentive with a wonderful personality, and good food recommendations (try theshareable ribs and thank me later) FOOD WAS AMAZING! 10/10. First time here and we wondered why we hadn’t come sooner. Priced very reasonable. We started with the Baked Feta: fresh... herbs, roasted tomato, Kalamazoo olives with flatbread crackers and house focaccia. Great combination of flavors and while thebread was delicious, their flatbread is amazing! I had the Alderwood Salmon with swirled potato purée, forest mushroom cream,julienne snow peas and crispy shalotts. Fantastic twist on salmon and was just as good the next day when I cooked my leftoversstove top. My husband had the Steak + Potato: seared hangar steak, swirled potato purée, crab + Brie butter, lemon + Chileblistered snow peas. Steak was cooked to perfection and was a great combination of flavors. For dessert we had their take onWhipped Key Lime: gramma cracker crumble, torched vanilla meringue and brûlées lime sugar. If you like key lime pie, you haveto try theirs. It was amazingly good. Not too tart and the torched vanilla meringue was a nice addition to the flavors. Not just supper this was an experience! Kounter just launched a Sunday Supper Club concept ! Kounter located in the heart of... Rock hill,SC is launching a Sunday supper club with Chef Rob. The drinks were phenomenal and each course over exceeded myexpectations. Included in this supper club experience is for each guest to choose a cocktail, & a 4 course meal , along with asurprise additional course , and a bottle of wine as well . Talk about a bang for your buck and an experience this is it . WhatI loved most is how interactive it was,Chef Rob came out several times to ask how was everything and if you had anyfavorites. My favorite hands down was the watermelon lasagna, talk about wowing your palate this course nailed it. Far as thedesserts it was hard to choose a favorite everything was absolutely amazing. Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant in downtown Rock Hill. Went for lunch and can't wait to come back again. Went with a... group of 4 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. The presentation on the salads were a nice touch. Had the b3 at therecommendation of our server, who was super helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back when we're in the area. Read more
Dined with family at this very fine restaurant in downtown Rock Hill celebrating my sister's birthday. Found great parking and... was greeted warmly upon entry. Since we made reservations, our table had water awaiting us! Nice touch if I may add. Ourwaitress was awesome! I don't remember her name but she was a vibrant, intelligent young black lady who was knowledgeable of themenu, gave great suggestions and checked in with us throughout our meal. For apps we ordered the black wings, fried ribs, andchicken and waffles sushi. Yall, you gotta go and try these! They were so good we knew before tasting our main dishes we were infor a real treat and they didn't disappoint! Several had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and sang its praises. Another had thealderwood salmon and promised she would go back for that dish alone. Someone else ordered the fish and tots and raved howflavorful it was. I had the hot honey tofu on a bed of roasted brussel sprouts halves which was cooked to perfection! Can't waitto go back! On a different note, this restaurant is in a historic place from the civil rights movement of yesteryear. We weretouched by the story, pictures, and haunting facts of the Friendship 9. The food is just indescribably awesome, it's just THAT good! They have the best flavors in their food AND drinks. Highly... recommend eating here. The team is very nice as well.
