I cannot think of words of praise high enough for the quality of food in this restaurant! My husband and I and my... daughter-in-law and I go to a lot of fine restaurants, and this unassuming but chic little Gastro-pub is above most of them. Weoriginally came tonight because it was dollar oyster night, and we worked our way through a ton of those, but then we had theCrab Galette, endive/pear/Gorgonzola/ walnut salad, tenderloin tips Bulgoki, Mexican street corn, and the most deliciousdessert I have ever had, strawberry cheesecake bread pudding. Kudos to the chefs and our wonderful server Jenny. We hope to comeback again soon. (Quite a reasonable bill, too, for two people plus drinks and dessert. $63 each before tip.) Read more
Wings were awesome. Salmon was too salty and it was okay not some place I would personally come back to. I wanted to sit at the... bar and the young lady didn't want to help me with getting a seat at the bar she claimed it was all full, but I asked if the menwere sitting at the chairs and they told me I could sit down that they were standing. We got lucky tonight! We came with no reservation (I suggest you make one, this place is amazing and packed! We'll worth making... one) The hostess was so accommodating and fit us in where they had a cancellation! Perfect timing! The service was spot on,above and beyond. The hostess who seated us also served us and she was magical! Her drink suggestions were delicious and herservice was fast and attentive, she always appeared at the perfect times! The food was delicious! With the open kitchen you getto see the kitchen staff having a wonderful time while creating your meal and it really shows in the meals that came out. Weordered 3 apps, the fries, grilled cheese bites and the jar of pickles. All were amazing. Those pickles... Dang! Loved it. Another quality restaurant for a date night; trendy but not pretentious, differentiated but not overtly so lest it... lose your interest on a second (or third) visit. I splurged and went for the "Trust Fund".... An homage to the gen Z foodie crewwho will no doubt get a kick out of spending a half day's salary on an over-the-top appetizer! What a gem! Like other reviewers have said, it looks like nothing special from the outside, but once you get in you'll be... shocked by the awesome vibe. Went here on a whim - simply to check out somewhere new. Didn't get food. It seemed like everyonehad oysters and those definitely are not my thing. The drinks were top notch. I don't think I have ever seen a Tom Collins on adrink menu before - so it must be good, I thought. Yep, it was amazing, best I've ever had. Tried a few others that were all atthe same level. The outside of Vesper is very understated, but as soon as you walk into the restaurant it says have personality. You walk in and... immediately see a bar area with chalk menus listening their beers. We had 3 people for dinner. The server was good. My wife anddaughter had The Vesper burger. It is very sizable. They both loved the beacon relish on the burger. I ate the Cuban sandwich,which was sizable. It came with yucca fries. I like to try different things and I’m glad I tried them. I really enjoyed theOctoberfest beer. Came here 2 Thursdays ago and ordered 50 raw oysters. Came again last Thursday and ordered 100. ($1 oysters on Thursdays!!!)... Probably my favorite dinner of all time. Every single dish we’ve tried looks impeccable and tastes fantastic, and the dailydesserts are just absolute perfection. The cheesecake in particular was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot ofcheesecakes. There is so much personality in every dish, and the staff are all amazing.
