We got a ton of food for a funeral. Everything was outstanding, and I will go back for a personal meal if I get the chance and... to shop. We arrived during the lunch rush. They served us in a very appropriately hurried manner, and the food was remarkable.This is my first review ever, and the 5 stars in every way made me write it. A wonderful, slightly hidden gem off of busy E Ridge Rd. I have sadly passed by many times without realizing. I was recommended... to stop by for 'the best fish fry in Rochester' which I've heard many times, and have tried at dozens of places. I can say handsdown that this is actually it. The food was fantastic. Who knew that perogies were the one component that others were missing. Ihad takeout but there is a lovely porch and patio seating that I will definitely take advantage of on my next visit. Read more

Polska Chata's food is AMAZING! The staff is very nice and helpful. We had the Polish Platter and a Potato Pancake to go, every... last item was delicious and a nice serving size. We also took frozen perogies to go, the cabbage and the potato/garlic whichboth cooked up nice and very good at home as well. No doubt that every time we visit Rochester Polska Chata will be a "muststop"! Read more
I was introduced to Polska Chata today for the first time and I am really impressed! This is a small family operated... restaurant/deli/grocery, hidden right in the middle of East Irondequoit on a residential road. The owner was very friendly andextremely helpful in describing her lunch specials and making suggestions for this ?first timer?. I had the ?Polish Platter?which was an excellent sampling of several of their dishes, including mouth watering pierogi, sausage and stuffed cabbage. This restaurant is a real treasure. I took my parents here for lunch (my Dad is Polish) and we had an amazing meal with... friendly and fabulous service. The people who served us were the owners, I think, and they do Polish food to perfection andmake you feel like family. I think my parents will be talking about this meal for a long time. Foods we had included potatopancakes, kielbasa, stuffed cabbage, pierogies, bigos, beet soup, blood sausage, and Zyweic beer. We took home desserts and afew items from their grocery/deli. We had a amazing dinner with amazing live music playing. We ordered one of the fish fry combos and the polish plate. So much... food and a variety of it for less then $40. Beautiful atmosphere. The deli and store downstairs has so much to look at andunique gifts. We brought home some dessert from the deli to go with our doggy bag from dinner.
