The place is nice. Food is fresh. The chicken however was terrible. Tasted like detergent was in it or some kind of cleaning... product. Maybe the spices they used just gave me that taste. My friends tasted it and said it didn?t taste like any cleaningstuff. And it was super salty, almost inedible. They agreed on the part of the saltiness. Had to throw out allll the chicken.Went to an employee, told him I didn?t like the chicken and was throwing it out. I asked if I should give to him to throw outand he said ?the trash is over there.? I knew where the trash was. I only asked the dumb question to see what he would say, ifhe would offer to give me another protein to replace. He didn?t. Didn?t even apologize for me not liking it. Super poor customerservice in that regard. Paid 14 bucks or so. And I was really dissatisfied with that. Because I basically just paid for grains,greens, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and corn. But hey those things were decent and fresh at least and they did give alot, for me to eat twice. The dressing options were ok. They did let me try a couple so that I would make sure which one Iwanted. I wouldn?t go back. Unless I?m super lazy to cook or make my own bowl way better than them. And definitely can makebetter chicken. Will definitely only but the bowl without any protein. Not their strong suit. The egg looked good but anyone canmake an egg. Would give 1 star but gave 2 for the fresh ingredients and their cool designed, bright and spacious location. Read more

I?ve been to Original Grain in Syracuse and loved the healthy food options they offered. I?ve been living in Rochester for about... a year now and I?ve driven by this downtown Rochester location many times but it was always closed. Now that it is finally open,I was very excited to stop in and try something. I got one of their salads and smoothies and it was very delicious. Theingredients are fresh and the smoothie was prepared to order with fresh fruits and vegetables. There was a slight problem withmy order but the staff was very kind and resolved it right away. I will definitely be returning and suggest anyone in Rochesterto try it! Read more
This was one of the best meals I've had in downtown Rochester. I've worked in the city for nearly 13 years and I've had many... lunches for many different places. This is one of the most memorable meals I've had. I recently started trying to be healthierin the options that I pick when ordering out and Original Grain certainly provided me with ample opportunities without making mefeel limited. Love the bright white theme - Feels airy and fresh. Such an abundant selection of healthy choices of food and drinks (juices and... shakes). I ordered their take of 'Lox on a Bagel' called "Lox On Lox On Lox" - Which was smoke salmon on a muli-grain toast withgreens - The BEST version of Lox I've ever had. Read more
Very different from my usual joints but in a good way. The menu is fresh and trendy , also healthy. The ownership is local... (Syracuse started) the staff is bright and helpful and the interior is really cool. It has a hip hop healthy vibe and tons ofunique menu options. If you like to try something different and enjoy fresh food check them out. The dininng experience issimple order at the counter and pick up your food. Bright and bustling interior with lots of unique choices AND they don?t even charge extra for Gluten Free bread!... ???????????????? Ingredients were super fresh and completely customizable and their sauces are top notch. So excited a placelike this opened downtown and I can?t wait to explore the rest of the menu.
