Reviews for Long Pond Family Restaurant in Rochester, NY
Excellent food for a great price, and the waitstaff were lovely! Will def return. For $7 I got eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, and... bottomless coffee. Read more
*Dropping to 1 star due to rude owner. Now I know why the server is rude.. way to care about the customer. Thank God you can... cook. Long wait, food was just okay, service was terrible. We've been here several times in the past, its always been betterthan this. The past few visits, same server, have not been enjoyable. Very unfortunate. Will have to find a different localrestaurant to frequent. Read more
We've always liked this place. Nice atmosphere and food choices for breakfast. It is usually bustling which is a good problem... for them but would be nice if it was quieter at times. Bring cash or pay 3.9% fee. Read more
After the last time I went to this restaurant, I decided I will never go back. but I ended up back there, and my experience this... last time was even worse. Not to mention the attack chef--noted in other reviews too. I had a glitch when I was reviewing, andsomehow maps dropped three one star reviews, and I get a nastygram from someone at the business. I have been a regular off andon at this restaurant since 1996, it is a local place for me, but the only thing I would eat are the baked goods which may befrom Leo's, along with some homemade sweets. If my meat option is raw or hockey puck, I can eat anywhere else. Read more
I stopped in here after a doctor's appointment today and I was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is so clean! I got a seat... right away. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My waitress was so nice and attentive, my omlete came out so fast but wascooked well. I asked for onions and peppers with my potatoes and they came in my omlette which I didn't mind, the green pepperswere not cooked which could have been better but the omlete was well cooked and packed full of veggies. The potatoes were reallygood too. My waitress let me know there were specials and the hours on weekends. She had such a pleasant vibe, I felt like shecould read my mind. The menu is big, physically and with a lot of options. I will be back for sure to try a dinner option. Read more
Edit** Owner needs to learn a thing or two about Customer Service. Leaving a comment about an opinion did not need a rude reply.... Ive never had a fee to use my card at any other small place. Let alone a rude comment. Trying to help a local diner out. NowI'll just take my business some where it's actually appreciated and wanted! DO BETTER LONG POND OWNER** Friendly staff. Foodwas okay. Prices are decent. Don't like to be charged to use my debit card though. That's a bit ridiculous and unnecessary thisday and age. Reason they lose 2 stars. Read more
This place is a solid choice for breakfast in Greece. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and in the two times I've been here... the food came out very quickly. The only mark off I'm going to give Long Pond is that the second time we were there the homefries had no brown on them at all. I'm also a very large guy, and the first table I was brought to was very cramped right infront of the window, but I was able to switch to a different table with no problem. Overall I would really recommend Long Pondto anyone looking for a cheap, solid breakfast. Read more
The food was good. I had the Cuban with a side salad and a bowl of French Onion Soup. I really don't have any major complaints... other than nothing was amazing? The Cuban was definitely not a real Cuban. It was on toasted white bread and I am pretty surethey used honey mustard instead of a Dijon or spicy brown so it was more of a Cuban-adjacent sandwich but it tasted fine and thesoup was really good. The servers were efficient if not overly friendly, but not rude either. It was a pretty innocuousexperience really. If I am in town again, I would probably go back. Read more
