Reviews for D'Mangu Restaurant in Rochester, NY
Very friendly staff, place clean and the food is delicious! Nice set up for food to go.Just opened last week! Great place.
The food was excellent! I had the Paella for dinner and a flan/cake for dessert. The paella was loaded with muscles, clams,... octopus, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. Every member of the wait staff checked in on me at least once during the experience. It wasa little awkward not realizing I wasn't going to get a final check. After awhile I just went up to the register and discoveredthat actually appeared to be the normal process. Good to know for next time! There will be a next time because there is so muchmore I want to taste. Read more
First time here. Nice lady at the front counter helped us with choices. Food was great. You won't leave hungry.
Seated quickly, half of the items on the menu were not available. Food came within reasonable time but was seriously lacking. I... ordered the Mofongos w/ pork and chicken. Pork was way overcooked and the chicken was under done. The plantain mixture was a bitoff, but not bad. My wife ordered a rice dish which was good all around. We were not checked on once during the meal, I wouldhave sent the dish back otherwise. It took close to 10 minutes to receive a box for the rice dish, which indeed, was great. Thepoor service ruined the entire expierence as we were on a schedule. Read more
Food is fantastic. Flavors and portions sizes are great. Definitely order a monfongo while you eat there. Service is pretty good... and did not have to wait. Read more
This restaurant gets one stars for the long wait (45 minutes) that a party of two had to wait for. The food will get 2 Stars,... the mofongo I had taste burnt like the bottom of a burnt pot and the steak was so so very salty. However empanadas wasdelicious. Read more
If you are looking for a good mofongo, this is a good place in the upper Midwest. It had the right amount of garlic and the... plantains were not ripe. However, I was disappointed that the mofongo did not contain any chicharron or pieces of fried pork. The fried chicken was seasoned properly and the batter was not too thick. Next time I'm in Rochester, I will be sure to visithere again and try another one of their plates. Read more
I'm just truly confused as to how a restaurant that has been opened for quite some time with 2 Previous locations and now a new... 3rd location would not have a correct working phone listed so that you may call in your order or pick a order up it make youvery Leary to order from there eat from there or anything else because by now with it being a new 3rd location I would think athey would have all bases covered but obviously there still trying to get it together...?
