We made a special road trip to check out Twigs as the MN gluten free community was RAVING about it. It did not... disappoint! While the gluten free burger bun was kind of gross, the gluten free sandwich bread was AMAZING! I would definitelysubstitute. The risotto cakes were too rich for us and were topped with a weird nacho type cheese, but the fried green beansfrittes were DELICIOUS! I highly recommend the turkey apricot sandwich, and the fried pickle burger was great once I replacedthe bun with toasted sandwich bread. BTW the gluten free menu is LITERALLY EVERYTHING ON THE REGULAR MENU except for the Reubensandwich. WOW!! Also- everything gluten free is made in a completely separate kitchen than is only for gluten free items! Somuch celiac safety it?s ridiculous! (In a good way, lol) The decor was modern yet outdoorsy in a way that works. The outdoorseating looked like a gorgeous small garden. Our server, Denise, was awesome and very patient and kind with us as we tookforever to explore the menu. And it?s right next to the Mayo Clinic! Twigs served a delicious meal and their outdoor patio was beautiful and well hidden from the street creating a nice environment.... They have a gluten free menu with a large selection that was excellent for my mother in law and this even included greatdeserts. The service was wonderful as well and we will make sure to visit in the future! Read more
Always a fun dining experience. The hot rock is a fun way to experience a variety of food. The cheese cake dessert is amazing.... Plus don't miss the wide variety of gluten free options. A great go to restaurant for those with a wide variety of food tastes. Read more
This place has amazing gluten-free options. The manager came to talk to us as we have done other food allergies and helped us be... sure we would be safe. The food tasted amazing. Twigs has options that aren't commonly available in gluten-free like breadedfish and shrimp, ravioli, and onion rings and kids meals like chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. Read more
I found this to be a very pleasant place to eat. The decor was beautiful. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. They were... attentive without hovering. If you are in need, they have a large Gluten-free section to chose from. The dinner was a littlepricey but for a special night out it was great. The meal I chose was the Northern Walleye. The baby back ribs were amazing!Everything was cooked to perfection. I even found a Martini I liked so much I had two of them. Children were welcomed. The staffwent above and beyond to make sure both the children and adults were quite happy. I highly recommend this place to all. Read more
GREAT dinner. We arrived to a long line of people waiting outside. We were told it would be about a 45 minute wait. We asked if... we could grab a drink from the bar and wait outside (beautiful outside seating area but due to it being slightly misty and about60 degrees, nobody was out there). She said absolutely and actually offered that if we wanted to eat outside she could seat usimmediately. PERFECT! The outside seating area had umbrellas to keep us sheltered and even heaters (we declined those). Ourserver was great and attentive, checking on us frequently, even though we were his only customers outside. Food was delicious. Iordered the polenta with a side pear salad. Hubby chose the hot rock with the steak and pork tenderloin as well as a house sidesalad. No complaints from us. The menu is HUGE so we will definitely be back to try other things. What a great experience! The server was excellent. Did more for us than 95% of servers. We sat outside and loved the space and... decor. Food was special... we got to cook our own food on the hot rock, which was great! The sauces it came with were varyingand had great flavor. Overall, it was a must go if in town! Read more
The atmosphere is very warm & cozy. We ordered the Hot Rock for 2, which was a great value at $39. Comes with plenty of beef,... pork, scallops & shrimp that you cook yourself on the rock. Chose 5 sauces...the pineapple bourbon BBQ sauce is divine! Also got2 sides...sweet potato fries & garlic asparagus. Both were delicious! We will definitely return to this restaurant. Read more
