Haven?t been here in a few years but my mom wanted to go together on their last day doing breakfast before it switches to a... dormitory upstairs. I was impressed still although it was a nice buffet spread like I was used to seeing in years past it wasstill good. My plates were demolished. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Also the manager Andre checked in on our tableand made sure everything was going fine. My complaint is unimportant now since they won?t serve breakfast anymore, but they needmore ala carte items for breakfast. I had to order 2 entrees just to get the normal sides of bacon, potatoes and eggs with myFrench toast entree. Otherwise good experience and might have to come back and try the lunch/ dinner menu. I just finished eating at Pescara and have nothing but wonderful things to say. I inquired if they had a scallop starter that... wasn't on the menu and the chef prepared a small version of their scallop dish. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. For mymain dish, I ordered the shrimp and lobster risotto. It also exceeded expectations. The picture attached does not do it justice. And on top of all of that, my server Jeffrey was wonderful. The perfect balance of attentive but not overbearing. 10/10, willreturn. Read more

Like many people who may be visiting a Mayo Clinic patient, visiting a provider, or volunteering, finding a place for lunch... nearby is often a norm. I?ve asked other staff, locals, and conducted a search?the Pescara Restaurant came up several times. So,I just had to visit and find their tag line ?From scratch menu. World class culinary team.? is absolutely true. I had the FishTacos and chose the Lobster Bisque as my side. As you can see, I truly enjoy seafood, especially when fresh and well prepared. Both fit that description and were a perfect combination. The cabbage slaw, charred corn salsa, queso fresco, and cilantro inthe Fish Tacos were all very fresh and nicely complemented by the avocado cream and lime vinaigrette. I highly recommend thisdish. It is a tremendous value at only $16.95. I ordered a small Apple Amablu Salad mixed greens to go ? because I had multiplepeople recommend it to me. All the ingredients were so fresh, it kept well till dinner time. It came with the biggest driedcherries that I?ve ever had, candied walnuts, red onion, and in a buttermilk dressing with a touch of garlic. I see why it is abest seller. Also, it?s handy that you can order it in two sizes. Another aspect that stands out is the quality of service. There was ample staff on hand at a busy hour. Everyone conducted themselves very professionally. They presented themselves well, were pleasant, and helpful. Overall a fantastic dining experience in Rochester, MN. I plan to try out the dinner seafood menumy next trip to Mayo. Read more

Once the table next to us saw the... delicious French toast blended with cinnamon inside plus the presentation with fresh strawberries topped it off! Great coffeeand omelette with Gouda cheese as a surprise. What a treat! Now off to Mayo! Read more

My husband and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We came at lunch time and despite having a reservation, the... place was very empty - however, it filled up fast ! Just an attestation to how amazing the food was. We started off with thecalamari, which I wasn't as keen on trying compared to my husband. I've tried too much calimari that's excessively chewy orovercooked. Not this appetizer! I was pleasantly surprised and I have to say it's the best calimari I've ever had. The breadingwas perfect and the dipping sauce at the bottom was phenomenal and reminiscent of sushi spicy mayo sauce. I got a lemonadewhich is made in-house and it was delicious. Reminded me of the lemonade I often find fresh at the farmers market. Sogood! Next up I ordered the crab cake sliders with lobster bisque and my husband ordered the walleye sandwich with fries.Everything was incredible ! The sliders were tasty and light and the lobster bisque was some of the best I've ever had -comparable to the bisque I've had in the west coast. Very creamy and delicious. We couldn't leave without dessert. We agreed onthe caramel croissant bread pudding and it blew us away. Such a pleasant flavor explosion! I loved the ice cream on top. Thecombo of the ice cream, caramel, nuts, and bread pudding was fantastic. A little disappointed they didn't serve a complimentarytreat for our anniversary, but regardless I'm not knocking down stars for that since we were planning on getting the breadpudding anyway. Overall a fantastic gem in Rochester and some of the best seafood I've had in a long time. Read more
