Nice staff, very accommodating of dietary restrictions with the chef coming out be sure that there weren't any mistakes. The... portions were generous and the french toast was especially good. Local hole in the wall offering usual cafe menu with a larger breakfast selection at reasonable prices. Counter seating with a... handful of small tables inside and out. Looks to be more seating up a flight of stairs but we found a table outside. TheMeat Lovers omelette look to be a 3 egg omelette with some chunks of ham, sausage and bacon fat. A slice of American Cheese wasmelted on top and a side of white or wheat toast came with it. Waitress was friendly but as soon as the food and the bill wasserved, nonexistent. This is a gem of a find right in the middle of Rochester. It looks pretty old from the outside. And on the inside. But that... just adds to the charm. Their prices are low (as the name would imply) and the food was great. The waitress was really niceand took the time to tell us how old this place was. I had the Spanish Omelette and it really hit the spot. I'm not sure whatkind of pig is on top of the restaurant (I am not a hog caller), but it does look well maintained. Read more
This place is great! It's hidden away from where I'd ever look for a place to eat but my daughter took me. A husband and wife... own and operate the dinner. These people have personalities and a way of talking that make you feel like they know you andappreciate you. The food is AWESOME! I can only speak for what I ate, which was 1 pancake and 2 scrambled eggs. The pancake wasHUGE and so delicious. Even the eggs were impressive, as they were folded while cooking rather than stirred like most scrambledeggs. I was glad I only got 1 pancake instead of 2, as I couldn't even finish the last few bites of this melt in your mouthdeliciousness! And as the dinner name states, their prices are great too!
