It's a coffee shop; and I'm a tea drinker, so not the best judge of their business. Although, they do have good blended chai... here! It's good to have a popular chain coffee shop, (other than Starbucks) so handy to Mayo Clinic, without having to gooutside. Plus, they're right across from Cinnabon & Auntie Anne's! Read more
We don?t have Caribou coffee where I live so I decided to try it since I?m seeing them everywhere in MN. The man behind the... counter was very friendly. Gave me some tips on what to try since I only like sweet iced coffee. It was a very busy place butthey had plenty of staff so the wait wasn?t long. Coffee and breakfast sandwich was delicious. The drinks are always good at Caribou, and the service is always just as wonderful. But this store was just too loud. Not only... for myself and my wife but the couple that sat next to us. We sat in the back by a door that leads to a back room and employeeswent in and out and the door slammed each time like the loud slamming of a hotel room door. Then there was a counter that theywent into in the seating area, and guess what...that one slammed too! Please put some weather stripping or bumpers on the jam ofthe back door and cabinet, and your guests will enjoy their experience as much as the service and product. Read more
I had some time before my appointments this morning so I sat here drinking my coffee. Listening to the gentleman at the counter... warmed my heart. He knows all the regulars by name and is happy to answer questions. I have watched him explain options to atleast 4 or 5 people. He knows his stuff and loves to share with his customers. My favorite Caribou Coffe location. It was also the first Caribou I ever visited. You never forget your first love! This... location in the subway area of downtown Rochester is very close to the Mayo clinic. Early in the morning the scent of Cariboucoffe's Breakfast Blend wafts through the air. Located in the subway level of Mayo Clinic. It is in a convenient location. The issue is with the breakfast sandwiches. They are... just awful. Tried the turkey egg Muenster and it was almost inedible because it was so salty. The egg was tiny. Then the evenworse Apple sausage sandwich. It was inedible, we had to throw it out. The bread had hard pieces, and the sausage tasted like abad chemical flavor. Finally the price. Most sandwiches are a ripoff for 6 dollars a piece. Avoid and go to Quiznos right nextto Caribou.
