Not your typical "asian" restaurant. Don't go looking for general Tso's chicken. We enjoyed our meal, but found the pad Thai... had way too much fish sauce for our tastes. Read more
This place is on point for food presentation and flavor. Started with the wontons, perfectly crisp with a side of light sweet &... sour sauce. It was a tough pick for my main, everything on the menu looked delightful. Finally decided on the crispy pork bellyrice dish. YUM. The crunch on the pork was just enough to give the dish a little texture. The cucumbers and cilantro made itfeel light and fresh. My other half had the green curry with chicken. The flavor was PERFECT. Just the right mix of heat andcurry flavor. Our waitron was a familiar face from a different restaurant in town - it was nice to see them again! I gave 4stars because the site was severely lacking in seating - there were a few tables stacked by the wall... maybe still distancingfor COVID? I might be a bit hypercritical of this place, but my standards for Thai food are higher than normal only because I've eaten it... my entire life. I really want to see this restaurant succeed because Rochester needs Thai food restaurants badly. Thisrestaurant is nestled in a convenient spot that's easy to get to and access. It's not huge by any means but it's a quaintlittle place. The food here are true to Thai roots and while it's not the best Thai I've had, it's still a good restaurantworth stopping at. The downside to this restaurant is it is always plagued with staffing issues. I've only been here a handfulof times. But each time I've been there, service was really slow. As it I sat for 30-40 minutes for a bowl of pho thatshould've taken 10-15 minutes to prepare with the restaurant at half capacity. My wife waited another 10-15 minutes on top ofmine for her Tom Yum. This is not a good thing. The restaurant needs to reevaluate staffing especially during peak hours. Oneperson managing the entire floor is called understaffing. If the restaurant can solve this issue it would be a great start. Thesecond drawback is, the price vs. portion sizing In my opinion is not wonderful, this is based on several Thai places that Ihave visited in the past. I could understand if this was upscale gourmet Thai dining but it really isn't. This restaurant tome, comes off as a small family owned dining establishment that should give people a great value for their dollar to try outThai cuisine but the pricing is steep for what you get. Asia fusion is a place that can be great if it can address what I thinkare minor drawbacks and I hope it stays. The ambiance is wonderful, the food is delicious, the location is excellent. I think this place was alright. It's a little bit hard to spot, tucked in into a small strip. This place offers a variety of... cuisines. I had a bowl of seafood ramen and the crispy pork. The seafood tasted fresh but the noodles I would guess is not housemade. Not expecting much because this place offers mixed Asian dishes. All dishes looks extremely presentable.
