I was very hungry and generally know what to expect from Mexican Restaurants. It?s usually the same experience, but this one was... a little below average. The water tasted like rubber for some reason, so I ordered a bottle water instead. The plate of food waspiping hot when it first came out, as if it was stuck in a microwave for five minutes. I could not touch the plate or my foodfor about 10 minutes. The quality and structure of the California Burrito was not very good. Super bland chicken and overallsoggy. The food is good. The prices are reasonable. The staff are always friendly. My wife loves this place. You know the phrase: when... the wife is happy... However, I do like eating here too. I really think you will also. If you want a beer after work and alittle relaxation, Don Juan's bar is the place to do that. If you need a place to eat lunch and are in a hurry, bring yourfriends here and you'll be back to work on time and you'll be full and happy. This is probably our favorite restaurant in Roanoke Rapids. It?s consistently fresh and delicious. Pictured are shrimp fajita... nachos, nachos and cheese, fresh guacamole, and the Platino margarita. That margarita is hands-down the best one I have everhad! You can really taste the difference the top shelf tequila makes and the lime juice is fresh every time.
