Some of the best Ramen I've ever had I think. Highly recommend. It seemed like it was just one guy working there so food took... a little bit of time to come out but wasn't too bad. Speedy for just one guy. Read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while whenever I come into town, but hadn?t had a chance until today. This place is... definitely worthy of the reviews here, and I?m fully impressed. I had the tonkatsu ramen, and the broth was delicious, theajitsuki tamago was excellently cooked and flavorful, and the two pieces of pork belly were not only very delicious, but alsosome of the most generously sized portions I?ve ever had in a ramen. I was also surprised at how busy it was, we got there rightat noon as he opened and it was full by the time we sat down after ordering. Despite the crowd, ordering at the tablet in thefront of the restaurant was super efficient and easy, and we didn?t have to wait long before being served. Will be back forsure! Read more

Passed through the area on a roadtrip and was so grateful we found Sticks & Spoons! Coming from a city in the northeast of the... U.S. with ~many~ good ramen places, the ramen here is AMAZING! The broth was on the salty side, but the pieces of pork bellywere the largest I have encountered. It seemed quite a popular place, with only one staff and several parties coming through atonce. The order system is either online or through a kiosk at the front of the restaurant. Seating at the bar is limited, although there is a very nice outdoor seating area. Highly recommend and if we ever pass through the area, we will be back! Read more

Authentic af. So good, I had to call and compliment the chef since I had ordered to-go. This was literally the best bowl of... ramen I have ever eaten and I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone local or passing through. I will definitely be back my nextvisit to Roanoke. Read more

This is only my 2nd time having Ramen in my life (not counting the 10 cent bags from the college days). Definitely going to be... one of my new favorites. I got the Shoyu Ramen and sub'd brisket slices, added mushrooms. The flavors were great. I could eatthose mushrooms all day. I did have to wait a few minutes past the time I scheduled pickup, but it was totally worth it. Read more

REVISED: First time dining in at this restaurant and the food was really good. The meat was seasoned well, the vegetables tasted... fresh, and the presentation of your plate is beautiful. As a note, you have to scan a QR code to obtain the menu, there is nowritten version and there is very limited seating and space to wait inside. If it is your first time dining here, be aware thatit is much better to order ahead since everything is online. When it is busy you can expect a 40 min wait, but normally about a20 min wait. There IS a vegetarian bowl/vegetarian option, (see comment under review), but as typical, make sure to clarifywhich is being used for good measure. Otherwise, I commend the owner for their hard work and personable attitude in the midst ofrush. Read more

Very small yet charming hole in the wall ramen bar specializing in takeout and, well, Ramen. I was in Roanoke for business, and... so I popped in as I've been to numerous ramen places before, and I had a pretty good idea of what I'm getting into. The fooddid not disappoint in any capacity, the serving sizes were adequate and the portions more than enough. I ordered the Shoyu ramenas well as both of their gyoza options, the steamed gyoza were about as good as you can get, but the sauce provided, I'm unsureof what it was, was an exceedingly nice addition, in hindsight I should've taken some home, it was that good. But the friedgyoza, now that's the stuff to write home about, covered in great sauce and fried to perfection, crispy on the outside, moist &wonderful on the inside, I almost ordered a second portion while I was there. The Shoyu ramen itself was traditional, the brothwas clean and went down easy, the additives fit it perfectly, and, as you can see, they don't skimp on the pork belly! You cantell that the chef has been working on the broth for a while, and it really shows in their product that they've mastered theircraft. Were I in town any longer, I certainly would have doubled back to try more of them. Man I'm gonna miss that friedgyoza. Read more
