There is bad and there is worse than bad... This places crosses way over the worse than bad range. I do not understand how hard... it would be to make a Chipotle as bad as this. I have been to Chipotles all around the East Coast. This year alone even in thebig cities I never spent over $10 not including tax, but then you go to this Chipotle and it is a whopping $10.40. Also keep inmind Roanoke is not some wealthy city where that price would not be a problem. That's not the only issue here though. They donot understand portions here at all. They give the tiniest amounts ever and when you ask for extra they give literal pinch fullamounts more. That is if you are lucky if the manager is there you will get nothing extra without ridiculous fees. I just findthat baffling since you are spending over a dollar more eating here instead of the towers one which is only another fiveminutes. One other thing I found very crazy was the no free water cup. I have never seen a restaurant do that. It takesvirtually nothing from their huge profit to do those little things to help keep customers. The store is also not always as cleanas it should be. They need to just pick up a little more all together. I know some reviews are good, but those are all lies. Youcan go for yourself and be very disappointed. Very stingy portions? restaurant was not like this when it opened but now all the workers give noticeably smaller amounts than... normal for Chipotle - I had been coming here often and have noticed the change across servers and will no longer be going tothis location? along with other reviews I suspect management is the fault here. Wish for a change at this location because it isvery convenient, but the quantities are pretty abysmal and very much not in keeping with the expected Chipotle experience. Very disappointed in their new policy of not providing cups for water. They stated it is now their policy to charge the price of... a soda to get water. Paying over $10 for 4 small cups of tap water will cause me to stop being a customer. I would understandthe restaurant charging a small fee for water cups, but $2.60 each is excessive, in my opinion. Very disappointed in our dining experience. The portions were small. When my husband asked for a cup for water they said they... don?t do that and was very rude about it. They said he could buy a bottle for almost $3 (cheap deer park at that) That is ridiculous. I?ve never seen that at any other Chipotle. Also while we were dining outside a worker came outside and asked alady to leave because she had food from a nearby restaurant ( the other person she was with was eating Chipotle). I want to give a shout out to Jenna who was so helpful when my son requested a large cheese quesadilla with no sides (he?s 6 and... super picky!). The older red headed woman working the cash register needs a huge attitude adjustment. She was belittling andrude to Jenna for being kind and fulfilling the wish of my kid - which was not a tough ask. And she did it in front of my family- totally uncalled for. I hope the woman working the register can be a little kinder to her fellow employees and realize her badmood affects everyone, even customers who have to witness her condescension to her younger employee. Food was very cold. I had a steak bowl and there was more rice and very little steak and when I ask about the steak they just... looked at me like I had two heads. They where throwing food around while making my bowl causing food to mix in other foods. Ihave eaten in other Chipotle Mexican Grill and it was great. DO NOT EAT HERE Read more
Chipotle Roanoke manager Rob threatened to have Roanoke PD arrest multiple families eating outside the restaurant where one... person in the party had a meal from an adjoining restaurant. The manager claimed "cross contamination". One of the families had3/4 of the table eating Chipotle and they were still asked to leave or face arrest. When asked, the manager also said thatthere are no exceptions for outside food for children or people with allergies because "cross contamination". They do not allowoutside food regardless of your situation and will not hesitate to call the police to enforce. Read more
We eat at Chipotle's all over the country and have come to know them as one of our favorites so when this one opened we thought... we'd give it a try. The first time their computers were down and we waited 25 minutes for them to come back up. It wasastounding to see how the staff behaved in this time. No eye contact, no empathy, no interaction at all with the customers. Alittle hospitality would've be nice, but no interaction made it a slap in the face. We left and chalked up to inexperiencedworkers. Today we tried again. WOW. I encountered the saddest excuse of customer service I have seen in a very long time. No onegreeted us. There was one young man on the grill who eventually yelled something to get someone up front, but never said helloto us. He had to yell again. A young woman came up with attitude and zero personality who didn't even look at us. She performedmore like a robot. I asked for nachos and she said we can't do that here, it's not on our computer. After much ridiculousdeliberation I asked her if I could buy chips, she said yes. I then asked her to open the bag and put some of my chips down andthen proceeded to finish my order. During this ridiculousness I said "look, I know you don't like your job, but I like eatinghere, can you please have some respect"? She said she loves her job.....! Maybe she loves the food too? To the franchise owner:fire these entitled attitudes and hire passionate people. Passionate for doing a great job, delivering great service andserving great food. Pay better than most but demand better than most. This location is deplorable and it is your staff that arethe issue. We don't need to come to this location.... Read more
