Great local option. Good beer selection and service was above expectations. We had a small issue with our pizza order that we... didn?t even notice but the server and staff did notice and without even asking replaced it with a second pizza despite the factthat we were perfectly fine with the original pizza. We ate here our last night on vacation and everything was great. We loved the boneless wings and the pizza was good. The manager... Tommy was so nice and stopped by the table a few times to check on us. They also hosted free Bingo which was so much fun! Thetwo guys running it were funny and friendly. We won two t-shirts to bring back to NJ. I would definitely recommend Castaway'sfor a casual and affordable lunch or dinner. Read more

We ordered "The Works" pizza and were very pleased. There were generous amounts of all the toppings and it tasted great. The... staff seemed to work together as one, showing up where it looked like attention was needed and they were pleasant all the time.The volume on the music was too loud for our ears but we had ear plugs to compensate. This could be a factor in someone else'schoice of this restaurant. All the pizzas are 12" and two of us had a nice meal while sharing one. Sodas are Coke products.Parking is free. We loved this location when it was owned by DAS. We have been doing our best to keep an open mind as they have transitioned it... to become Castaways, but I do feel as though it has gotten slightly worse each time we've visited. They have taken out probably10 beer taps, decreased the space available for seating by adding in a large closed-off office space and several rather largeand unnecessary sculptures/ statue/figurines all over the place that don't seem to make a lot of sense. They've now totallyclosed off the kitchen, whereas it was open and mostly visible for guests to watch them prepare the pizzas and such. The pizzasare hit or miss. Sometimes they're still very good, other times they're burnt and not very good at all. The servers are mostlyvery young and often seem more interested in socializing amongst themselves than doing their jobs. This leads to many instancesof waiting longer than you should have to for service. Last night, I placed an order for a drink (we had already been served aflight, so I placed an order for a full drink), and after approximately 10 minutes of watching our server walk around, clear offa couple of tables, talk to other employees, go to the back room, and so on... we finally stopped a waitress to ask about mydrink. It had. Been rung into the system, but our server had not poured the drink yet. The waitress did get it for us, but itdid not make sense that we needed to even do that. Been wanting to visit Castaway's down here in Singer Island as I regular Castaway's in Orlando so I took a little vacation to... visit. I have to say the atmosphere, location, food and staff are awesome!! Natalie, Sheer and everyone are amazing! You HAVE TOtry the mussels which are to die for. I will definitely be planning another vacation just to cone down and eat mussels and thereamazing pizza! Read more

This is right at the beach on Singer Island. They don't have anything vegan on the menu, but we ordered the roasted veggie pizza... without cheese. This pizza is loaded with a variety of veggies and is filling. Good atmosphere and service. Read more

So lets start with the box FRESH BAKE PIZZA! There is nothing fresh about this pizza! The crust is gummy and hard. You are... better off buying a frozen pizza from Publix. We were hoping for a better pizza since the name of the place was beer and pizza.Spend $28 dollars in 2 medium size pizzas. My advice stay away from this place if pizza is what you are looking for.
