Black-owned restaurant specializing in spicy chicken. Person behind the counter quickly took our order. I am grateful for his... patience as it was our first time. He had plenty of knowledge and recommendations from the menu. I chose catfish withhuspuppies, my husband settle for chicken and waffles at level hot. It was delicious but my husband couldn't stand the heat. Ha!We ate outside at a picnic table they have set up for customers. I thought that was a nice option. Love the fact that they offerdetroit made pop FAYGO and deserts. Food was good we even got an order of loaded chicken mac&chz (pictured) to go. Read more
Food is fire, packaging could use some improvement so the fries don?t get soggy. A paper bag kept open would probably solve this... slight problem. Read more
Decided to take a shot on this as the reviews and pictures looked good. I got the fat daddy sandwich, my wife got the 1/2 dark... chix & waffles and my 13 year son had the tender meal. I really liked mine and my son liked his. My wife liked the skin on thechicken but didn't like the meat and felt the waffle was soggy. I'd give the sandwich a 8.3 out of 10. My son gave the tendersa 7.6 and my wife gave hers a 4.4. Read more
Very disappointed. I cant believe the good reviews. Chicken and waffles were awful. Dry and lacked flavor. The Mac and cheese... also super dry. Also, super small portion for what it cost. I?ll attach a picture of that. Only reason I gave this 2 stars isfor the fries. They were pretty good. I spent over $80 and wish I wouldn?t have tried a new place. Lesson learned. I won?t beback. This place was absolutely amazing. I love hot chicken and have been looking for a good spot and I'm so happy I finally found it!... I definitely dug in and ate some fries and one of the sandwiches in my order before the photos but if you're looking for somereally good Nashville hot chicken, This is the place to go! The fries are really crispy and good, the chicken was hot, spicy,perfect balance with flavor and heat and the coleslaw is a perfect topper for this sandwich. 10/10 would recommend. Read more
I had the 3 tenders(mild) and waffles. This was my first time having chicken and waffles. The presentation looked good. I guess... chicken and waffles is just not my flavor. The chicken was good, pieces were big. I didn't like the waffle. Read more
