If you want something upscale and unique. This could very well be the best restaurant in town. If you are an early bird like... me. It is cool the coffee bar opens way earlier than the restaurant. To all the chefs at this restaurant I want to say thankyou for the flavor adventure today. The appetizer was out of this world smoked salmon bruschetta, beet hummus, and Greek nacho.I really couldn’t just pick one. I am glad everything was so different and beautiful. Wow the fresh Battered Shrimp & Frieswas so juicy. Chicken Diane is a house favorite and I know why it was fantastic. The 14oz. ribeye meat quality and seasoningwith the butter on top was delicious. The steak was paired with rosemary fries. All I can say is look at my photos. I lovedevery bite, and I can’t wait for my next trip. For dessert I tried the moist Carrot cupcake and pink lemonade. I have eaten here a total of 5 separate times and I have come to this conclusion. Today I was served the Belgian Waffle with a... ‘specialty’ mocha. The Belgian waffle had the same texture and taste as one of the store bought snack waffles you find inthe desert section of Walmart. All they did here was put two of them on my plate along with fruit and whip cream. To say the$8.00 price was absurd would be an understatement as I can estimate the meal takes around $3.00 to make. If you want waffles inRiverton you should go to the trailhead where they give you handmade waffles for the same price. The only redeeming quality ofthe Brown Sugar Coffee Roastery is not even their coffee but their teas. I have had two of them and despite their slightoverpriced nature they are still palatable. As well I have tried their scones which are also of the same texture as somethingbought in a low quality store. To assume all of the baked goods are store bought could definitely be correct. We were in town for the week to see family, and we're very happy to have discovered Brown Sugar. We couldn't help but come back... and then come back again. The ladies working at the coffee counter are helpful, sweet, social, and gave great service. Coffeeand breakfast were both delicious each time! Read more
Atmosphere was very nice. The coffee was great but the food was not what I was expecting. I ordered a protein bowl & it had... ingredients in it that were not listed on the menu & I couldn’t eat it. The Chilaquiles was a pile of chips with enchiladasauce poured on them topped with eggs. (That’s not how those are prepared.) Read more
I was just getting back to the civilized world after several days of backpacking in the mountains and was looking for a coffee... shop to get me primed for the long drive ahead. After a quick Google search I decided on Brown Sugar Coffee Roastery. I ordereda coffee of Colombian origin with a shot of heavy whipping cream… nothing fancy. The coffee tasted great. It was clear from his attitude we were too much work for this waiter. I guess asking for a coffee and tea to go after we spent... upwards of $100 was just too much to ask. The place was cute but if you're looking for a friendly face, not the place I'drecommend. Read more
