Hands down the best Mediterranean food in the IE. We order from here at least once a month or two and it is always delicious.... We?ve tried their chicken kabob and chicken and beef shawarma. We just had their food catered for our son?s first birthday andit was a big hit with our guests. Also, I would highly recommend trying their Nutella baklava, it?s to die for! I really love this place. Both times I?ve been i think the shawarma was just delicious. My girlfriend got the chicken shawarma... wrap and I got the beef and we both tried each other?s and would?ve been happy with both. Quick service. Quick summary. Customer service:3/5 Food: it depends, anywhere from 2-5/5 Timeliness: 3/5 My issue with this restaurant is the... inconsistency of their food. You can order the same dish a couple of times and the result will be almost always be different.Their food can be great, tasty and delicious and next time it will be over cooked and plain. the chicken is well grilled (except for that piece on the bottom picture that was still pink). but no flavor inside. Greek salad... tastes like the vinegar is loosing its strength or not enough seasoning on it. (needs more last or stronger vinaigrette) Humusreally tastes like nothing even with the seasoning salt/paprika there?s no taste in it. The food at Elias Pita is spot on with the flavors. Weve been coming here regularly ever since we moved to Riverside. The... Shawarma is properly made on the rotisserie and cut into the plate as shawarma should be. Their grilled chicken, kabob, andbeef chuncks are also spot on. The flavors you taste here are accurate Mediterranean flavors that we have back home. TheBaklava is pretty good as well, nothing to die for but this isn?t a baklava place so it?s not a big deal. This type of food is usually fresh and delicious so I decided to give these guys another try. Years ago i had visited but was... not at all satisfied. So today, being Monday I decided to splurge and spend some money but eat good. Besides when you pay closeto $20 for a plate one expects that the food at least will be good and fresh. But that is not what i got. I understand timesare tough and restaurants have to jump thru hoops to stay afloat, but when you decide to sell expensive food and you served yourcustomers food that is one step away from not being eatable, that is a problem. I ordered the Beef Sharmawa it says that itsprepared on a rotisserie fire slowed cooked to perfection, i though i was getting the works, the grilled tomate and pepper, thehot pita bread and delicious rice, instead i got something that resembled prison food. The beef was heated and old, the ricewas cold, the tomatoe salad not up to par, and the only thing i enjoyed was the humus that i could had bought at the store for$3 dollars. And i realized this is the reason this place is not packed, because this place decided that despite their highprices, it's ok to served below average food. If they cared about their customers and took pride in the food they were puttingout, things would be different. If you are not willing to serve authentic fresh rotisserie food, then don't charge the customerthe price tag for it. We are not stupid and we still have to eat your disgusting food. You can tell by the meat and all themeat pieces in the rice that this meat had been frozen and reheated. I had a hard time eating this plate and i can't believe ipaid $21 dollar for it.
