We stayed at the Mission Inn so we wanted to try this restaurant, we sat inside, then felt the need to walk out immediately,... because the ambiance was cold and not inviting yet we gave it a try. Received our salad (which is an addition, not included withthe main course, it was a side salad size with a main course price) we had to ask for cracked pepper with our salads, then theserver walked away and we had to ask for some salt and pepper for our table, the main course food was mediocre and cold, I hadto ask for more water as the water person walked back and forth yet never stopped to ask if we needed more, we weren't asked ifwe wanted more wine or beer until our plates were taken away at the end, then once nothing was left on our table, I had to askfor the check while all the servers were talking amongst themselves having a great time with one another the whole time, theywere in great spirits, ignoring customers, I had to ask for everything that should have been supplied at the table. Iunderstand they just reopened so I'm hoping they see this and make some improvements, because our dining experience washorrible. Read more

I had business in the area, and I was in the mood for Italian. What a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed an early dinner. Atmosphere... was wonderful and service staff were helpful with my dinner selection. The food was flavorful and the Sausage Penne Pasta wascooked to perfection. If you are in the Riverside Mission Inn Area, a must go to. Read more

The food was delicious!! I had the Lasagna, and my husband had the Chicken Parmesan. Both were so tasty, and served hot. We... had a bit of a wait for entrees, but we enjoyed bread and olive tapenade, and a salad while waiting. Read more

Perfect for an evening date. Restaurant is medium size, very clean, tables outside are ideal. Food is tasty. Calamari is perfect... with some surprising peppers blended in. Very tasty. The side of jumbo shrimp is perfect with any of the salads. Linguine Nero(without Nduja) has plenty of rock shrimp and roasted cherry tomatoes. Great dish. Read more

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. So we finally came in to celebrate a birthday. It was slow, so we got... seated right away. Server was nice & friendly. She said water is coming right out to start us with and then we also orderedwine. When she came back to take our lunch order I reminded her about the water that we didn't get yet. (It was 100 degreesoutside, so we were quite thirsty). After that she grabbed pitcher, filled our water and we were happy. (Later on I noticed thatthey have another server who refills water) I ordered mussels and was disappointed in the quality of food. Pasta that came withit was ok and had whole spinach leafs, tomatoes, but also awful lot of pepper... It was almost unbearable. I kept drinking waterto stop the ???? in my mouth. When I ran out of water our server didn't notice that, and we didn't get refills for another 10min. By that point, I had to give up on my meal. The rest of the food that my party ordered was ok. And oddly enough as adessert they offer cupcakes from the place next door. Wish it was more of a true Italian experience. Definitely not coming back. There are far better Italian places nearby for same $. Read more

Please read before booking a special evening here!!!!! Made a reservation here about a month prior to our visit. We checked in... early for a 6pm reservation. Reservation was for 7 including a baby and 2 birthdays being celebrated within our group. We waitedoutside in the cold for an hour and still weren't seated. We then walked inside and found a manager who apologized and offeredus a free dessert for the birthday guests at our table and our very long wait. We continued to WAIT and WAIT. When we werefinally seated we were given bread with oil and vinegar (the bottles were grimey and covered in oil) and a drink order wastaken. We ordered food right away because we were all starving at this point. Our salads ($10 side salad) arrived and we stilldidnt have drinks. We reordered drinks now with another waitress. Drinks finally arrived. That will be it for drinks- we willNEVER EVER get refills. Not on water. Not on any drinks. We asked for more bread for the baby. She was enjoying her piece whichshe dropped it. They told us no problem. Our food arrives- no bread for the baby. We continued to ask every time a server cameby. We were then told they had to bake the bread fresh. Ok awesome right? Well just like the drinks we NEVER EVER got any morebread. We even asked for a plain piece of bread...nothing fancy. I'd pay them for a lousy dinner roll. Nope- no bread. Yet theycontinued to deliver it to other tables. Anyways back to the food. The kids Alfredo ($8, without a drink or side) was tiny! Thesize of a side of pasta. 2 people at our table had veal which they enjoyed. I ordered a pasta with shrimp which was supposed tohave basil in it....I don't think the chef who garnishes plates is not trained well because he threw a handful on whole spinachleaves on top of my pasta. Definitely not basil. The free desserts (for our extended wait outside in the cold) came (still nodrink refills, no bread refill, yet they still say they are working on it). We sing our 2 bday gu Read more
