So....this place was a secondary choice, because the original destination was out of what I wanted. I googled African... restaurants in the area and this popped up with great reviews, it was the next street over, so why not. My friend's food aswell as mine was "amazing" and Eliane was so gracious to us. I am a self proclaimed "foodie". This was my first time tryingEgusi Soup and I had croaker fish as the protein and it came with a side of pounded yam. The owner was so pleasant and kind. But the food was horrible /the chicken ???? was pink/red on the inside but tough and dry and... very BURNT ON THE OUTSIDE!! The jollof rice was dry hard and flavorless. A complete waste of $23. I can?t understand how she gotso many rave reviews- I would never recommend unless u have an itch to catch salmonella-Yuk!! When I tell you this food is VERY VERY delicious. She takes you back home with her cooking. She does not use fake food is REAL... it is AUTHENTIC cooking. When I tell you she cooks with love she really does put her heart into her food you can actually tastethe patience and time and love into this food. She takes care of the village with cooking for us and it?s only right that wepour back into her she?s a one woman show. I wouldn?t take out the time to say this if it wasn?t genuine. The first time I visited I ordered the Peanut Soup with Fufu, and it was amazinggg! A bit spicy for my liking but over all I... would order again. This West African restaurant is absolutely AMAZING! From the hospitable host to the delicious dishes, the service is simple... unmatched. Also the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, the staff is also really friendly. My personal favorite has got to bethe delectable fried rice. Love this place and will continue to visit. 10/10 Read more
How many times have I come to this place only for them to be CLOSED. Update your Google hours!! It?s so unprofessional to not be... open during your reported business hours. This is a basic customer service. This is the last time I waste time and gas moneytrying to support this place. Read more
