I stopped by at the request of an elderly friend who had been sick. She really wanted some chitlins so I drove from Fayetteville... to get them for her. Unfortunately, not long as I dropped them off she called to tell me that they were HORRIBLE. I felt so badas the plate was not cheap. She said everything else was good - collards, yam, rice - but the main thing she wanted was verydisappointing. For that price, they need to be exceptional. Read more
My visit to this location was sub-par. The men working the counter and cashier were hostile. I was just glad that they were open... and had a decent health score (84). The food I had tasted good but 1/4 BBQ chicken and 2 sides is not worth $15. Since it?s theonly quick serve in the area and had hot food at 9 p.m. it?s an option for your last resort. Read more

I ordered Smothered Chicken over rice. Collard Greens and Mac and Cheese. The chicken is dry, the rice is hard and the collard... greens are gritty. The side of Black Eye Peas was satisfactory. Bought a lunch vegetable plate. I was told it did not come with a drink even though the menu says ALL lunch plates come with a... drink. I asked the cashier why the menu says otherwise, she stated it's been that way since the grand opening. Absolutelyridiculous!!! We have to do better. I?ve been here & other locations quite a few times & my experience?s have been good. My order was wrong one time & a couple... times I had to wait a long time but for the most part they always have what I want & I get in & out in a good time. I use to getthe smothered pork chops they were really good but then I became a pescatarian now I mainly get Salmon or Catfish which arereally good too & they cook it fresh so you get it straight off the grill. The staff is welcoming but they have those dayssometimes but it?s a good soul food place & the prices are expected. Read more
