I didn't even know this place existed until my sister-in-law picked it to go to dinner one night when she was in town. I am... glad she did. My wife and I got the Award winning crab bisque and we have to agree it was award worthy. I got the fish and chipswhich was very good and the portion more than acquit. My wife got the crab cake, here in this area the composition for best crabcake is very strong. While this was not the best crab cake in the area it certainly is one of the better ones and definitelyworth ordering.Service was very friendly and great. Plenty of parking. It worth the trip out to Rising Sun for a meal here. Wewill be back. Read more
Decent restaurant but wait was very long. They were recently renovated and very short staffed. We were there for 2 1/2 hrs with... a 2 year old, who thankfully was a gem. Food was adequate. Did not have liquor for the first specialty drink I ordered, offtheir menu. Took forever to get drinks. Mixed up our food order. Read more
Buck's was the choice for a small birthday party for my brother in law Tom. My first visit, multiple visits by others in the... party. The hostess that greeted us, Alyssa, was a true delight. I have allergies, so she worked with me and the Chef so thateverything would be good - however it was way beyond good, it was great! Just a burger for me, but the best ever, cookedperfectly, every ingredient perfect - cheddar, mushrooms, bacon, lettuce, tomato - just the exactly perfect juicy burger! Great food! Great service! Took a little bit for apps to come out, but perhaps still bring prepared since we were there at... opening. Loved how there was no rush between courses; servers seemed to keep watch and bring food at appropriate time. Unlikemany rrdtsursnts where the food keeps coming and piling up on the table. This was great! We went into the bar side (there is a bar side and a restuarant side and you gotta go outside between them) and... had a little food and some beers. We ordered the crab bisque, chili, fries, chicken wings, and onion rings. Its a great divebar! I didn't 5-star it out cause some of the food just isn't our style - the crab bisque is too creamy (which I think for mostpeople is a great thing) and the chili wasn't beany enough (which again, I think is not a problem for others). But if you lovewings, you'll love these. Get hot. I normally a mild or medium lady, but Donna, our amazing bartender, advised me on the hot,and she was right! And the onion rings were so so so good. They make their ranch in house too by the way, so try it. The bar hasa shuffleboard table and some video poker machines and some tvs if your bartender isn't as fun as Donna! Read more
I had delicious wings here tonight. Crispy skin, tasty honey BBQ sauce, and fresh, sweet celery. It was not my first choice, but... the menu was not clearly marked that my initial option was only available until 4 PM. Tried Bucks tonight for the first time since it changed hands . Appetizers were amazing, we had the nachos and mozzarella... sticks [best I've had]. We also had the chicken Chesapeake, fajita chicken salad and crab bisque ... Everything was amazing andthe service was great .. our server was coral and she was great !!! Read more
