Caet has always been one of our date night favorites and we go regularly, but we were made to feel so uncomfortable at our... dinner last weekend, that it ruined our whole experience. Our waitress almost refused to allow us to keep our menus even thoughwe had not ordered yet and were drinking all through the meal (we wanted to give her the menu when we ordered so that we couldlook it over before we ordered). She said that they have to take menus off the table if a customer is getting raw oystersbecause management does not want the menu to get wet. She said that we were going to get her in trouble if we kept the menu. Wetold her that she could let management know that WE (as customers) were specifically requesting to keep the menus, and she couldtell them that WE (again, the paying customers) were to blame. She said something along the lines of "oh I will". We told herwe were not ready to order (we had JUST placed our app order), and that we would like to keep them until we ordered since we didnot know what we wanted. I eventually ended up offering to take a photo of the menu so she could take the hard copies, but shedeclined. She ended up only leaving us with one menu for two of us, and she made us leave it on a shelf behind our table, so wehad to turn around every time we wanted to look at a menu (food and drinks). She came back to the table several times asking ifshe could take the menus. Our son went through a near death experience and has been in and out of the hospital, so this was thefirst night we had time alone out of the house in a few months. Fresh oysters from oysters from multiple places made for an amazing appetizer. The selection was very impressive and you're sure... to find something to fit your palette. The service was excellent. My waiter recommended the old fashioned cocktail and it was very good. I had the pimento cheese... toast with the bacon jam. Very interesting and complex flavors that I absolutely loved. The special was the skin on red snapperand it was very good also. The skin was crisp and made a very good contrast to the texture of the snapper filet. Read more

Only reason it?s not 5 stars is because many of the items are way overpriced. BUT the food is great and wow at the service!... Waitress was great and we?ve never seen a bartender serve up drinks so fast. It was like he knew what we were ordering before wedid. Lol! Typically takes 10-15 minutes to get a cocktail at any other restaurant. Literally had our drinks within 2 minutes orless of ordering them. We had the crab fondue and the hot catfish appetizers which were both delicious. Then we shared the CAETburger. It was all really good. Read more

The service was amazing, water never empty. The wine list was really quite nicely put together from around the world, even nice... half bottle selection. Great oyster selection, from up and down the east coast. The hot catfish easily stole the show, made toperfection. The scallops cooked with a nice sear and really well put together sauce!
