The food here is great when they actually listen to what you are ordering! It?s a shame that the service isn?t near the quality... of the food. On the 10th time of not making my food right this is why I am leaving this review . I?ll let you guys decide withthe picture I am about to post. Would you say this pizza is lite cheese or no cheese? If you like tomatoes and tomato sauce (I do!), this is the pizza for you! Crust is also outstanding. Delicious.
Early August 2022, we chose to return to Venice Restaurant for their speed of service, lack of required reservations and... convenient location to the Playhouse. Our two main dishes, a repeat of my lobster ravioli but now a special with some grilledshrimp on top was tasty; the chicken roulade stuffed with mushrooms that came with a side of pasta with red sauce was also good.Both salads, one Caesar and one house were fresh and crispy. # Revisiting the Ridgefield Playhouse for another event, I lookedat some menus online of places we've been, one that offered a glass of wine to those attending the show, and a couple of others.We chose Venice Restaurant & Pizza for its "Dinner For 2 Special" @ $43.95 which includes a bottle of wine and a choice of twoentrées. (Wine upgrade to a Chianti or different Cabernet for $9.95.) We chose the Montepulciano d' Abruzzo which had a DOCdesignation. It worked. Entrées come with either a cup of Pasta Fagioli soup, Caesar salad, or for a dollar upgrade, the HouseItalian Salad with Gorgonzola. Anchovies can be added to either for another dollar. My partner had the soup which he enjoyed. Ichose the House Italian Salad, which was large enough for me to give him some after a few bites, but we wondered where thegorgonzola was seeing only shredded mozzarella. They have a long list of dinner choices from chicken to fish, and beef to vealin addition to classic pasta dishes. The waiter told us the shrimp scampi and the lobster ravioli were popular, but advised thescampi dish was larger than the five piece ravioli. I chose the ravioli with vodka sauce since I wasn't that hungry and didn'twant a leftover bag. The taste of lobster was present in every bite. Very good. The other dinner ordered was pork choppizzaiola. Fabulous! First time eating here. We had fried calamari, & eggplant rollatini for appetizers, salads, salmon all a livornese and... Sicilian pizza with meatballs. Everything was absolutely delicious, served hot, presented beautifully. This will be our newfavorite restaurant! Read more
Terrible service. We ordered 2 kids meals and a pizza. Took forever and we never got the hamburger. It was my sons birthday (not... that they knew) but just a bad experience and won?t be back. Read more
Had a Shrimp and Spinach Pizza. Sounds odd but it works trust me. It was good. Was delivered not piping hot but not cold so... probably best if you eat in vrs take out. Prices are fair. Read more
Pepperoni slice and garlic knots were great. Ask for a tiny side of marinara with the knots if you like. Also good for dipping... pizza crust at the end. ???? Great local restaurant, super service, food os superb and Mon -Thursday speical for under $50 for two is an outstanding value... with a free bottle of wine. Easy parking, great menu, open late for Ridgefield. Must Go! Great staff, food is always fresh- Read more
