Reviews for Sucre Sale in Ridgefield, CT
So good! Come on Wednesday nights ? all you can eat mussels (four sauces) and French fries, plus a glass of wine ? for $30 per... person! The ambiance was very romantic & reminiscent of an authentic French bistro. All of the sauces were great (you can trythem all), but my favorite was the mustard/caper. Although there were empty tables tonight, the person who recommended SucréSalé to me suggests reservations. We?ll definitely be back! Read more
We make Sucre Sale our one place to eat when we make a trip to Ridgefield. The food is consistently delicious and authentic. The... owner and staff are always very welcoming. Nice outdoor seating area, too. We found out on our last visit that their breadactually comes from France -- it's fantastic! Also, they sometimes run a small shop with pantry items; if it's open, theirprepared salt mixture is a MUST purchase! Read more

I eat at Sucré Salé (Ridgefield) once every week or two. I love the vibe and the authentic French food. Their buckwheat for... savory crêpes is from Brittany and is the real thing - I recommend the Galette Complête. It is fairly priced, the food isgreat, and a unique experience. Give it a try! I love it. Read more
In a town w/many French options its hard for a place like Sucre to stand out. I recently brought a group w/me to dine here and... while the food was fine the overall experience left much to be desired....let me explain. First we were seated right away at thefront of the restaurant which normally I would be a lil off put by wasnt so bad since the heat was on. But there were only twowaiters covering the entire restaurant which seemed odd however. It took a while for us to put in an order. The best part of mymeal was the onion soup(pictured) which was very true to tradition with a garlic bread crouton and gruyere cheese. Unfortunatelyit was a bit heavy on the salt and the sherry for my taste and not rich enough in the beefiness. I ordered a jamon buerrefromage sandwich and the French bread was pale with not crispy crust I have come a custom to and the sandwhich overall waspretty salty...add the fries being soaked in a salt water before being fried and the whole thing is an a salt bomb on the tongue????. Still good ham....good cheese. But not impressive in any way. Read more
They serve lots of classic "neighborhood" french fare and they do it quite well: crepes, moules, steak frites, quiches,... escargots, baguette sandwiches. Nice atmosphere and decent service. Outdoor seating available. If I lived in the area I'd be afrequent customer. Read more
Love this place! Stopped by for Sunday brunch and got French toast, a tarte a l'oignone, and a salade fermiere. All the food was... fantastic. Portions were large, the greens were fresh, and the French toast was light. The service was a bit slow, which was notout of character for a French place, but the experience overall was very enjoyable. We also saw a sign that they have all youcan eat mussels and fries with a glass of wine for $25 on Wednesdays! Read more
