This place is absolutely hands down perfection. The food was delectable, the environment was lodge cozy, friendly service. The... restaurant is part of Big Cedar Lodge development but not the main part, it is off to the side. There is a suspended walkingbridge as well as vehicle bridge that is so quaint and beautiful. From the bridge there is a amazing waterfall view as well asthe canyon below. Gorgeous. The restaurant is a log cabin, and just teaming with cozy warmth. I love all the finishing toucheswith the large fireplaces and decor. I came for lunch, was sat that right away, the restaurant wasn't too busy. I sat next tothe window with a beautiful view of the lodge next to it and the canyon below. The weather is a bit dreary but it still had acozy vibe. I ordered the cinnamon toast drink that was warm apple cider with rum. I liked the warmth, was a bit too sweet formy taste. Jay was my server and was the ultimate pro. He was friendly, had great follow-up and was on top of it! Great customerservice. I went ahead and splurged and got a few things, knowing that I would be taking the remainder back with me for dinner.I had the deviled eggs, which had pickled eggs, salmon, very tasty. I had a cup of chili which was rich, nice chunks of meat, and a robust flavor. Topped with cheese, this chili does not disappoint! I also got the bar-b+q burger with french fries. Thisis one of the biggest burgers I've ever had It was topped with brisket, a delicious barbecue sauce, fried jalapenos. So good. The fries were thick and crispy, really nice. This was definitely a fabulous treat and I would highly suggest devil's poolRestaurant for an amazing dining experience! ????? Read more

Loved this experience at Big Cedar lodge! I had the pork chop with pimento cheese grits and succotash ($32). Amazing, highly... recommend ! My wife enjoyed her salmon with risotto ($28) as well, a very light tasting but adequately filling dish. Bar wasgreat, had an awesome fall themed old fashioned we both enjoyed as well. Read more

Atmosphere is cozy and mountain rustic. Service was good, nothing outstanding, but good. Complimentary cheddar biscuits are... served, and they are DELICIOUS! We got the goat cheese, prosciutto, and candied fig bruschetta as an appetizer, and it wasdelicious. My daughter and I split the Devil?s Pool House Salad, and the Vegetable and sun-dried tomato ravioli. Both were verygood! Would eat here again. Read more

Our server was so attentive and friendly. Sadly, that was the only good thing about our experience. We were given cheedar cheese... biscuits and a flatbread covered in seeds. The biscuits were divine and tasted amazing. Unfortunately, the flatbread wasflavorless. The fondue was extremely messy. The grease from the meat was puddled throughout the bowl, and the liquid from thetomatoes, onions, greens made the fondue even thinner. The meat was cut in chunks and that made it even more difficult to eat onthe bread. My son's grilled chicken meal arrived at the table like warm at best. The chicken was so overcooked and dry, and onecouldn't even eat it. The carrots and mashed potatoes were cold. My wife's vegetable ravioli was hot, and surrounded byflavorful and perfectly cooked vegetables. My meal was the Chicken Fried Bison Steak. The meal was two thick bison steaks thattasted delicious, but it was far too much food. The meat should have been pounded thin, and therefore only one steak per servingwould have been sufficient. The broccoli, that was underneath the steaks, was cold. The masked potatoes were a massivedisappointment. They were cold and had a skin on them leading me to believe that they were piped on the dish long before themeal was ever finished. It takes a lot for me to write these s type of review, but if I am spending the money my family and Ipaid for our meals we are expecting top notch quality food that tastes amazing which was not the case at Devil's PoolRestaurant. We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, don?t miss it!! Order the cornbread and biscuits, mind blowing. It?s a great... family restaurant right by devil?s pool (hence the name) but it also has a great photo opportunity by the bridge. Really cooldecor from moose heads and fish mounts. The building was actually the original homestead. Our server was like so many otherpeople that work there, he really made you feel like family and showed great southern hospitality. He half way entertained ourkids when he wasn?t running around. The menu has fish and chicken and steak Read more

This restaurant was just alright. My party went early to avoid crowds, and ended up being the first party in for dinner service.... When we entered the building, we were greeted by three hostesses that seemed disinterested and bothered by our presence, whichwas a bit off-putting. Our server was just fine, though she did ask whether or not we were ready for dessert while we were stillobviously in the middle of eating our food. Speaking of our food, that was our main issue. As I previously stated, we were thefirst in for dinner service at around 4:15. Both members of my party ordered the 10 oz prime rib, which came out incrediblyquickly. Too quickly for it to have been just made fresh to order. When our food arrived, it was lukewarm, as if it has beenplated earlier and allowed to sit before being brought to our table. The prime rib had decent flavour, but the steak knives werevery dull, making it a struggle to cut. The mashed potatoes it came with were the coldest, but also had decent flavor. Thevegetables were nothing to write home about, watery and flavourless. The restaurant is also not easy to find as someone notstaying at Grand Cedar lodge. It is not very well-marked on the signs, and the roads are incredibly steep and have unmarkedcurves. Be sure to pay extra attention as you drive there, though the views from both the roads and restaurant arebeautiful! Overall, the Devil's Pool Restaurant was just okay. Not amazing, not awful, and honestly, that was the mostdisappointing thing about it. Read more

Get the fondue, you won't regret it! Tender steak with lightly cooked tomatoes, arugula the best cheese and then crispy... buttered baguettes to dip into it. I also enjoyed the house salad with salmon and my husband like his Kansas City sirloin withmashed potatoes broccoli cooked to perfection. For dessert we loved the Oreo brownie with ice cream - so rich and one is bigenough to split with two people. The outdoor patio is perfect - there are umbrellas and you have a peaceful view of both thelake and the pool below. Also, the bathrooms are amazingly huge and luxurious and make you want to stay a while. Service isprompt and friendly. Make sure to go outside to look at the Devil's Pool outside and walk on the swinging bridge which is fun. Read more

Without exaggerating, this is the best meal my wife and I have ever had. Service was very prompt, friendly, and far exceeded any... expectations I previously had. They have certainly set the bar extraordinarily high for the realm of "fine dining" with theirone of a kind, heavenly, gourmet dishes. The inventiveness and artistry of the chefs left us in awe and wanting more. Without adoubt worth the cost, because the entire experience was, to say the least, truly life changing and exemplary.
