Delicious and fresh sashimi and sushi. The pieces of fish were cut very thick which I personally really like. The quality of the... fish was fresh and tasted really good. The uni was also very sweet. The servers were friendly. They took the time to explain each dish. We really enjoyed the Black Diamond roll....delicious. The... sashimi platter presentation was pleasing to the eye. Good Japanese food with fresh ingredients (fish). My advice is to book a table even for lunch during weekdays as it's quite... busy. I would love to give it five stars but they rush you to finish, pay the bill and leave. When you finish, they take awaythe dishes immediately then ask what dessert you want. Super busy during dinner time and weekends, so definitely call ahead to make a reservation or else you'll have to wait 2 hours.... Seating limited of 90-120 minutes depending on party size since the restaurant is constantly busy. Interior is very clear andeach table has dividers to guarantee some sort of privacy. A wide variety of menu options to choose for appetizers, rolls, riceand noodles, and other izakaya shared dishes. Drinks are good, too. It is a bit on the pricier side, but considering the qualityand taste, it is definitely worth it and why it's so popular and busy. Definitely will come back for another visit to try otherdishes! Currently my favourite Japanese restaurant in York Region! Their fish is always extremely fresh and all of their dishes always... come nicely presented. Their lunch specials are the way to go. A reservation is highly recommended as they get pretty busy onweekends during peak hours. Read more

Place is fairly small and arranged in a way that makes it hard to flag down server sometimes (depends on where you sit). But... spacious booths and is able to accommodate small and big tables. Washrooms are fairly clean, there are two individual stalls.Place overall is very tight and not a lot of aisle space (not handicap friendly). The place can get loud on weekends since it isso small, but place has a nice vibe to it. Upon arrival, served hot tea, and salad after ordering. Salad is tasty and fresh.Tea is heart warming. Sashimi is so so sooo fresh here and absolutely melts in your mouth. Never disappointed when we order thetrays, only thing is certain sashimis are not included in the smaller trays. The big bang don is one of my favourite dishes andis also always excellent. The black diamond roll is a favourite for my friends and is always ordered. Staff is friendly butcould be more attentive as they rarely come to check on you once you have ordered… Have to stop a staff walking down youraisle to ask for tea refills etc. Overall, excellent sashimi place that I highly recommend. The dishes at this restaurant is basically deserving 5 stars regarding the presentation and the tastes. Just the service with a... young male server seemed very off from the vibes, I felt his impatience for our questions about the menu. He took the tablet(menu) away from my husband's hand without showing his courtesy (or saying any word), then he assumed we were all set. I thinkthat's pretty rude despite his intention and needs to be addressed. The rest of the servers are fine, I guess just we were notlucky enough. Read more
