Reviews for Wong Gonzalez in Richmond, VA
Boyfriend and I recently went here for lunch while on a staycation trip to Richmond. The service was good and quick. Cool vibe.... Dumplings (pork) were good and the sauce was nice a sweet and salty flavor profile. Not too oily from being pan fried. Star ofthe experience was the service. Outside seating - not too busy. Food: Box - great options for a little of each. Shrimp notovercook. Sauce should of been on the side. Anyone unsure about the sauce, order on side. Salad- Miso type of flavor. It wasgood. Orange- flavorless. We would go back to this restaurant! Read more

Excellent taco's. Complex flavors. All very unique. The cocktails were amazing as well. Can't wait to come back.
Tacos were good - they tasted like great Mexican tacos, and I was able to get corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas. The... edamame was absolutely outstanding! The stir fry skillet chicken had a very unique flavor. It had some seasoning in it that I'dnever had before, and it truly blended the flavors of the rice and the fajita in a delightful and mouth-watering way. Read more
It only took one bite to instantly decide that we must come back to this restaurant. Wong Gonzales has incredibly creative... dishes. And every single item we ordered was super tasty. The tacos were each so flavorful. Theres a lot of variety of tacos. We got two fish tacos, chicken and beef. The bulgogi burrito had the best marinated beef mixed with seasoned peppers. Highlyrecommend! If you enjoy flavorful food combinations definitely try this place out Read more
Ordered delivery from here. My husband got the chicken burrito, and I tried their vegan version. He loved his, and our meals... were both prepared nicely. The only reason I put 4 stars is because there was something so strange tasting in the vegan ?meat?.It had an almost brine-like flavor & after taste that made it hard to finish eating. I?ve had a lot of vegan Asian food before, especially general tsos and orange chicken style, and I?ve never stumbled on this taste before. My husband tried it and noticedas well, noting that flavor was not in his. I think this is a great spot for most people, but maybe not the best for veganoptions. Read more
Visited on Christmas Eve for the first time and will definitely be back. The staff was very welcoming and our server was great... (didn't catch his name, but he was also the bartender and very personable). The fajita baos were smaller than anticipated butreally good. Not pictured are the gyoza, which should be ordered for the dipping sauce alone. The chorizo fried rice wasabsolutely delicious and maybe the best dish of the meal- so flavorful and slightly spicy. Out of the taco flight, the Wong GonzSilver was my favorite with an amazing flavor fusion (strawberry yuzu!!). The salsa is mild, in case anyone was wondering. Thefried tequila cake tasted similar to a funnel cake with all the dressings. This was a very nice meal with exceptional flavor.Glad we visited! Read more
Love the concept & the vibes of this place. Quirky and charming. Seems like a great place to grab tacos and watch the game +... they have a decent beer list too! Awesome location for a bit of a DIY restaurant/bar crawl if you're into that kind of thing Read more
