?You?re lookin? good.? I walked into this place thinking I?d have to wait to get a seat but was greeted with a warm smile and... seated immediately. We were seated on the top floor. The service was quick and I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy the most. Theportion were enough to feed two hungry adults. I enjoyed a mimosa with my meal. Thank you Leland for being attentive. Three of us showed up for a little bit later lunch. After a small wait for a table to become available, we were seated with a... smile. The Village Cafe has a very large menu. It took some time to decide what to get. I ordered the chicken salad clubsandwich. It was very large. I finished about 3/4 of it before having to give up. The chicken salad was pretty good. Serving water in huge pitchers was the best thing about the restaurant. Tuna salad croissant was amazing, the filling was juicy,... flavory and not so cold, and the croissant was so flaky and buttery. It melted so well. And they serve eggnog milkshakethroughout the year, which is awesome. I'm gonna come here again, no doubt. Read more

Great Cafe near VCU Monroe Park campus. Excellent portions, fast service and friendly staff. Drinks came out in mini pitchers... so refills are practically not needed. Menu selection is huge and something for everyone. A must eat place when visiting thearea. We got the French Toast with hash browns and the Fried Rockfish Po Boy. It did not disappoint. Read more
