In my opinion, the greatest test of a Spanish restaurant?s focus on quality is their ability to produce a great Paella. Many... have seemingly gotten confused about risotto vs paella. It?s got expensive ingredients, takes some time to do it right (it?sgotta rest to make the crusty goodness fall off the pan), and requires some skilled attention. Yvette at The Wooden Spoon Tapas,Paella, and wine bar nailed it! Yvette and our waiter were personable, attentive, and shared interesting insights about Spanishfood and wine. We were also fortunate that the restaurants wine dealer was eating at the bar during our visit and he walked usthrough the Spanish wine selections which were also excellent. I like the decoration style in this restaurant. We came here Saturday afternoon. I was a bit surprised that how small this... restaurant is. We were lucky that there was a table for four. It's cozy with live music. Whenever, wherever you have live music,it's a super plus. Foods selection is ok as it's pretty regular cafe type. What was impressed is that it's simple and yet, veryfresh and delicious. It had onion soup that day. As a special, it's good but was a bit pricy. I had a BLT with turkey (I wantavocado originally but they were out). I was sleepy all the afternoon. The waitress was very kind and busy. Foods were servedquickly so overall services was above average. We had a couple cups of coffee. A coffee latte and cappuccino. They were fine. Asweet place in the city. We will definitely come again. This is a cozy little place that makes you feel like you are having a meal with your family. The atmosphere is warm, and the... food is all made fresh. Breakfast here was amazing! They opened early for us and accommodated every request, and the food was so very good. My mom had... bacon and eggs, and every couple of minutes would say, "these are cooked perfectly", and "this is so good!". The restaurantitself is charming, and the staff is top-notch.
