Mediocre coffee polite people pretty decent price not much of a selection for food on the menu other than typical pastries and... such to go with your. Decent little spot definitely not much room there though it\'s really cramped in there you kind of want tojust get your coffee and go but if you do want to hang out there is a good bookstore next door you can grab a book from and sitdown and enjoy a food read. Personally I don\'t like having to park two or three blocks away just a walk and get a coffee so Iwouldn\'t stop here unless I was already walking by Read more

I adored this Rustic Sheek little spot in the middle of VCU area.\nThe ambience is comfortable and inviting. They even provide... books and games, such as scrabble.\nI loved looking around at the other patrons enjoying quiet conversations over amazing brews. And speaking of which, the coffee was amazing!!! They have a variety of brewing methods and brew to choose from; it was quite anexperience. Special thanks to the lovely barista who helped explain the amazing options.\nWe\'ll definitely be back! Good coffee, good music and ambience, soured by an obnoxiously loud group of off the clock employees who were cussing and... talking loudly at the bar. My fault I guess for expecting to do school work but it was hard when I could hear every word oftheir conversation, from the other side of the room. Two of the employees were speaking at an acceptable volume but the girlwith black hair was consistently shouting. Read more

Great coffee, nice staff, decent little place.\nI stopped here when I was passing through.\nThey do have outlets and you can... certainly pull out the laptop and do that computer and coffee thing. You will have to crouch down and peek to see the outletmounted up off the floor. Guess they wanted to be able to mop?\nThe WIFI is VCU wifi, I think it goes with the building similarto restrooms, not the cafe. Its a bit tedious to sign up for the wifi with an email but not the end of the world.\nAlso, this isa dorky call out, but why is the pastry in a little window below the counter?\nI almost walked out thinking they only servedcoffee until I glanced down and caught that.\nKinda form before function.\nWould go back for the solid coffee and nice people. I think this is probably my favorite shop in Richmond. They consistently have Recluse coffee which is local and excellent along... with exciting guest roasters. They\'ll do a wide variety of pour overs and they\'ll do them hot OR iced, which I love. And thestaff is knowledgeable, friendly, and overall very cool.\n\nMy one big complaint is that the default iced latte is a cold brewlatte. It\'s nice but very different from one with espresso. I feel like it\'s as weird as someone giving me an Americano when Iasked for drip.\n\nAlso! I love the idea of a living wage, but $15 an hour is still pretty paltry for city living, so theability to tip would be nice as well.\n\nStill, this place is a must if you\'re getting coffee in Richmond. Incredible Richmond coffee shop! They love their fruity coffees, and have a variety of in coffees on rotation so that in season... coffee is served year round. Alchemy offers a Yama tower cold brew, which is a very strong, very caffeinated cold brew coffeethat is perfect for college students who need to stay awake the morning after an all-nighter. For non-coffee drinkers, they havesome of the best chai in the area. The shop is very aesthetically pleasing, making it a great meeting spot for VCU students orothers in the area. Read more

Best coffee in the Carver area!! The Baristas are always nice. They have local coffee beans, and their local pastries are so... good (cinnamon popper being my favorite).\n\nThe price may seem high to some, but they build tip into it so it’s honestlysuper fair in my opinions. Love supporting businesses that pay their employees a living wage. ??????\n\nThe only wish I have forchange is for them to get savory food options, not just pastries. ???????? Read more
