I was in the store on 7/22/2022 in the afternoon. I had a coupon for a foot long, chips & a drink for $7.99. I ask the worker... ?can I use this here?? , he defers to the female African American manager at the register and she says ?yes? so I ordersomething and the worker says ?you can order anything except that? so I order something else, get chips. The manager rings me upfor about $14. I said, the coupon is for $7.99, how can it be $14? The manager says, you got bacon on it, chips and a drink. Itold her that was included in the coupon and showed it to her. She didn?t seem to care at all. So I said, fine, I?ll put backthe cup and the chips, now can you ring me up for $7.99. She does. This rating is solely for the poor customer service that I received at the downtown Broad St. Subway location. I walked in and... stood at the counter, but didn't see anyone. I leaned over to take a peek in the back to see if I saw anyone. No one was there.I realized after a minute or so that the employees were actually sitting down and having lunch out in the front. I thought theywere patrons because I was not acknowledged by them when I walked in. When one of them finally got up, she continued to use herphone as she walked through the kitchen to the sandwich counter. She completed whatever she was doing before looking up at me.Normally, I would have walked out, but I'd actually walked there from my job in the area and it was after 2pm, so all the foodcarts were gone. Once she finally acknowledged me, she didn't apologize for my wait at all. She was a bit impatient with me as Iordered. As she rung me up, the other employees voice was escalating as she explained a prior altercation with an employee who'drecently quit and wanted her check. She proceeded to describe the way in which she would "drag" the ex coworker for beingdisrespectful and lamented that she did not owe her any respect or customer service because she was no longer employed bySubway.
