Top notch all the way. Steak was cooked to perfection and I have never had mussels cooked properly at any restaurant until now.... Most places over cook or to the point of almost over cooked. These were done but still soft on the inside. That chili saucewas the bomb! The criticism I would have would be the selection of mushroom for the steak dish. That type of mushroom is verychewy when cooked. But still the flavors on everything was superb. Don't forget to try the brussel sprouts. The restaurantitself is simply decorated which is nice but the noise level is rather High. Read more
Rabbit Rillette with pickled onions for appetizer was awesome!Chilled curried corn soup was delicious along with the fried... catfish and soft shell crabs. The hazelnut cake with blueberry sauce was good but not my favorite. Outdoor patio was veryinviting and much quieter than dining inside. Excellent quality dining experience and highly recommend. Me and a friend came here over firebird gril and because latitude in stony point said they had a 2 he wait for 2 people lol. The... ambiance is simple yet romantic (low lighting and smooth music) loved the Peninsula bar and yellow lights. We were glad to nothave the server run to us as soon as we sat down because it allowed us time to look at the menu u and the drink options. Iordered the Faerie Blossom and my friend had the Speak no evil. Both delicious mine was refreshing and his was smooth like aPina colada. Next I ordered the fried catfish and added a crab cake and he had the homemade rigatoni and added the burrata. Bothwere good; mine need seasoning (salt and pepper) but the hot butter sauce was a great sauce. His paired great together but thenoodles were undercooked . Our server was one of the best we've ever had. I never got his name unfortunately, but thank you to the server with the mullet... and glasses. The curry cauliflower 'steak' and ahi tuna were perfect appetizers. For entrees, my boyfriend got the hangar steakand I got the mushroom pasta with a crabcake. The steak and crabcake were amazing but my bowl of mushroom pasta was really blandwith some of the mushrooms in it still being a bit hard. It was great quality in-house made gemelli pasta but it seemed it wasonly tossed in a bit of olive oil and chili flakes without any other seasoning. I think a little bit of lemon or even just somesalt could have made the pasta worth trying again. My boyfriend also got the tiramisu which had a brulee'd sugar topping insteadof cocoa powder which he really enjoyed and I got a glass of rainwater madeira. We will definitely be back. Read more

Such a disappointment at this place. The service is slow, our waitress was so busy serving so many tables and it took about... 20mins to get our drink that we only just order a bottle of wine. Didn’t get to order food until half an hour seated and shewas nowhere to be found. The food was really bland for all the dishes, I had smoked chicken wings they are large size but veryvery blend really have no smoky taste and not marinated enough to have any flavor in the meat. I tried the mussel also the same,good flavor but very bland. The main I ordered from the menu said it’s squid ink pasta. But it came out a different pasta, andI asked the waitress they didn’t know, took 10mins for them to went back to the kitchen and my food was also getting cold,came back saying kitchen ran out of squid ink but without telling them. Well I think that’s the problem, that I didn’t orderthis and could have ordered something else. It was already late and we have 5 people in the party everyone already started10mins ago so I didn’t want to exchange to something else. They can’t just serve me whatever they have that doesn’t matchthe menu. Its ridiculous. And with the slow service and the messed up order they still mandatory charge 20% gratuity. And wehave 5 adults and 3 kids. If that’s automatically added they need to make sure they provide the service that meets thisstandard. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Read more
