Saturday (or Sunday), Shoney's on Hull Street is always great. The people who serve you, the products, the preparation, and the... prices can"t be beat. With our senior discount we saved 10% on our breakfast buffet. I made two trips. The variety wasoutstanding. This store is family owned and a fixture of Richmond since the 1960s. This restaurant still has a good Buffet. Restaurant is fairly clean. Servers and other staff are all very nice and... accommodating. I do wish they do a better job in maintaining/cleaning the restrooms. Read more

The fried chicken, fried fish and stuffed bell peppers were good. That was the only things that were worth eating. The potato... salad and pasta salad looked awful. The soup looked like it was sitting there all day. The server, although very nice, servedour drinks without ice. If you're going to come here bring a fly swatter. The flies were so abundant that I had to put a plateon the table opposite of ours so the flies could be entertained enough to have us try to have dinner in peace. Good God almightyit was like eating next to a dumpster. Then the shocker was the $61.53 tab (hence my face when I saw the tab). No way will I begoing back. Save your money and go elsewhere. Read more
Very small buffet with few main course selections. We went on seafood night and the fried fish was very good tasting but just... not fresh. It was soft and not crisp at all. The restaurant was also very dated. I went if there were locations with morechoices. Read more
We have a small group that visits Shoney's on Hull St. every Wednesday. Today our server was Phyllis and she was fast, friendly,... and accurate with our orders. She recommended the chef on duty, Leroy's omelette. I ordered it and it was amazing! I have neverhad an omelette like Leroy's and it is now the standard by which I judge all others!
