What a terrible experience through Doordash. First order, I received someone else's order although the receipt showed my order.... The replacement order was not correct either. Called the Plaza - they said it was Doordash's issue, but Doordash does not dothe cooking! Read more

Once again reminded I scare people. I was to meet a woman here for our first 'date', and I waited inside because she was going... to be late (red flag #1, lol). So the host seated me; a few minutes later the waiter came to ask if I wanted a drink. I onlyknew that because that what waiters usually do - this guy barely opened his mouth, looked at me like I was going to rob him, andI had to keep repeating what I wanted because he didn't seem to understand. Date finally arrives, she's a tall caucasian woman, and joins me at our table. This time the waiter come by again, and for every interaction afterward, he's lively, smiling, andonly communicates to her, not to the both of us, to the point that I had to say "well yes, I happen to be enjoying my mealtoo". I really wanted to like this place; the food was delicious, but I don't think they serve many, if any, black customers. Ihate that I feel like I make people uncomfortable, scare people, or they are biased against me, but I am what I am. Yes, I didleave a decent tip, regardless....... Read more

I'm not much of a Mexican food eater. I typically prefer Puerto Rican or Cuban but Plaza Azteca is on another level. I've... visited this location twice, might go back today and the birria tacos were to die for. Absolutely delicious. Meat was tender andwell seasoned, consume was perfect along with the plantains and pineapple cilantro margarita. I'm definitely a fan of thisplace. Read more

I decided to stop at this location for lunch by myself. Upon arrival there was a small wait to be seated and there were 2 people... after me and we were pretty much seated at the same time right across from each other. The other table was served quickly. I didorder maybe a minute before the other table because I quickly made my decision on the meal I wanted and yet they continued to beserved before me. I was left waiting for my meal at least 12 minutes after the other table received their food-I timed it.I hadto ask another server to ask about my food because I ordered first and ordered the same exact meal as the other table. You neverwant to make it about race but unfortunately it feels this way. The table across from me were two white women and nothingagainst them because it was not their fault. But it was more than clear that they received better treatment. Now when it comesto food, it was great. But otherwise the service was horrible and made me feel uncomfortable. I will not be returning to thisestablishment to eat. Its unfortunate that I have to leave such a negative review but it is my reality. I did attempt to speakwith a manager before posting this review but I was told that there was no manager present. Read more

Had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday here! Fajitas for 2" feeds more than 2; we had plenty to take home and enjoy the... next day. Loved that!!! I never had fried ice cream... it wasn't as exciting when we finally tasted it; but the CHURROS wereawesome!! Our area was clean and our waiter was great! He was accommodating, kind and respectful. He checked back just enoughso that we didn't feel hurried or forgotten. Read more

The veggies in my fajitas were mostly raw, not sautéed. There wasn't a whole lot of chicken, mostly just raw veggies. Most of... the veggies were cut very large, making it a bit difficult to put them into a taco. There were a good bit of pepper seeds, aswell. I couldn't even eat much of it, but what I did gave me an upset stomach and indigestion. Since it was the night ofChristmas Eve, I didn't bother with calling and saying anything. As for the guacamole, I've never seen or had guacamole this...watery? It was so watery, I actually took a video to show it better. The guacamole was on the expensive side, in my opinion atleast, but you do get a good bit of it, so price is probably fair or maybe just a tiny bit high. However, at best, it was justok. I won't be buying guacamole from there again, nor will we be returning. As soon as I saw and tasted the food, I rememberedexactly why we quit going to Plaza Azteca. Kicking myself for even trying again, especially for our Christmas Eve dinner. Thefood was barely warm when we got it, however, part of that is my fault. I was 10 or so minutes late picking up, because I wentto the wrong location first. It was cool and rainy outside, so by the time I got home (5 minutes away), the food was cold. Ididn't even know they had another location, until I went to the wrong one. The guacamole being brown is only because this wastaken the next morning (I forgot to take a picture the night I got and ate it). It was *not* brown when I got it, just wanted tomake sure to represent what I did get clearly. A lot of people seem to love Plaza Azteca, so maybe we just have bad luck whenwe go there. We liked it a lot, too, when the Westchester location initially opened. Until the quality went downhill. Seems tobe pretty hit or miss, to me. Read more
