First time on this restaurant and I really enjoyed it. Got the all beef cuts pho with the extra spices bomb and it was really... tasty, I got the large and it was pretty packed with meats, the meats were fresh and tasty and it came with plenty of noodles aswell. The folks on the restaurant were pretty friendly as well and even offered us water while we waited. The only thing for methat would take it to the next level would be if they had tripe, which I didn't see on the menu. Other than that, perfect. Read more

My first visit to Pho Luca's and the food did not disappoint. I'll make it a point to say that I would recommend this place... highly for the quality of the food, the broth and the atmosphere in general. I could easily make this place my Pho spot on theregular. The only drawback was in reference to my service. While the servers were polite enough, they either forget to place myentree order or lost track of it entirely. It was over 30 min from when I placed my order until I finally received it. Thing is,they never engaged with me at all until after I asked what was up w my order when I saw multiple tables that came in after megetting their orders before me. When I called it out, my server was apologetic and made sure I had my order within the next fewminutes. While they were busy, they weren't filled up and the bar was virtually empty. I think they just slipped on my order andthen didn't think twice about asking me or following up. I'm sure the service is better than this and would still recommend, based on the beef pho and bone broth alike. The Vietnamese coffee was also great! Read more

Edit: My bad. It was soft tendon. That still didn't change my mind or size of the portion you served. Giving it 3 stars mainly... because of 2 things: When I ordered tripe beef pho, there was barely any found. I had pieces of fats in my Pho and the sizeswere quite small. I've been to other places where they actually were generous about the protein amount for the same price. I hadto stir in my broth to find some. Definitely not how Pho should be. Second critique point is that it took them very long toserve us and they forgot my friend's order as well as my requested cilantro. I can get over the cilantro part but my friend satthere and had to watch me eat my "large" bowl. It was delicious but not satisfying for someone who knows how Pho shouldbe. They were nice enough to take it off the bill and such. Prices are a tad expensive. 2 springrolls for 7 dollars are hefty. Read more

I?ve only been to two other Vietnamese places ( full disclosure ). I loved my round steak pho and fresh spring roll with shrimp... and pork . Staff are friendly and attenative. The only thing I would like to see is a bbq style spring roll on the menu . Lookslike they have a decent selection of tasty alcoholic beverages although I do not drink ????.My meal came in at around $35.00 (that included a 20% tip and a soda) . I will return . Read more

OK. This city clearly knows its Vietnamese and the bowl I had at Pho Luca's ranks at the top of what I've had in the states.... Hyperbolic? I try not to be, but that's just the type of experience that was served up to me on a cold Saturday night. Theflavor of the pho broth was immense and carried a much stronger anise flavor than usual - a differentiator that really sealedthe deal for me personally. They also have an awesome fish sauce with fresh chopped chili and vinegar that I added to it whichhad me HOWLING in between slurps. And they clean their bean sprouts, a luxury I never enjoy in my native Atlanta but somehowalways see in Richmond. If it's cold or hot or anything in between and you got noodle soup on the brain, don't think twice. Read more

I was walking around Carey town and wanted to stop by for a quick bite so I could continue to explore. Stopped by this place and... ordered a sandwich. Little did I know, I thought the cashier said it will be ready in 5-6 minutes? I clarified that she meant50-55 minutes? for a sandwich. I was shocked. Couldn?t do anything so I walked around and came back later for my food. Theinside of the restaurant was PACKED. Some people turned away because of how long the wait was, others waited outside. The foodwas good. You get that pho flavors with the cilantro, carrots, etc? ingredients you normally find in a pho soup. The fries weremy favorite because it was so crispy. No need for any other condiments. Overall wait was long, but I think it was worth it. Read more

Excellent pho. We came on a cold, rainy day, and that was exactly the right dish. We were fortunate enough to miss the lunch... rush, because there weren't a lot of seat and people were being told to come back in 30-45 minutes. I appreciated the variety ofmenu options as well as the selection of cuts you could choose for the pho itself. Came with the standard array of toppings andsauces for you to add yourself. Read more
