Live Crawfish & Seafood has been open since 2018, I have not heard about it until now. By far this is my most favorite Seafood... Boil restaurant in Richmond. They make their sauce in-house and that is what made their food stand out from others. Forsomeone who normally wouldn’t eat butter, I absolutely loved their Garlic Butter for dipping. The restaurant is clean andtastefully decorated. They cook and serve the food in aluminum serving trays. I actually liked it better than the bag. I askedfor spicy and that was what I got. The seafood was very fresh and plenty for a meal. My husband and I shared the $55.99 CrabLovers Special with one pound of Shrimp (heads off). It was plenty of food and we had leftover to bring home. Small unassuming place from the outside, but wow! Inside is very clean and the staff are super friendly. I had the best... crablegs of my life here 2 days ago! Pricing much better than large chains. Fist time in a long time I have had a Louisiana style boil in Richmond. Dang it was good, I suggest the New Orleans style... seasoning for the boil. If you know mud bugs then you know there is no comparison between live and frozen. I asked and theypick them up at the Richmond Airport direct from Louisiana and cook them fresh for you. I also had to try the raw oysters andthey are local from the Chesapeake Bay and were delicious! The potatoes and corn on the cob were very good in the boil as well. Have eaten at this place twice, once takeout and once dining in. Both experiences were absolutely fantastic and this is now... probably my favorite seafood boil resturant! Service was great, and nice atmosphere albeit a little small. Food is fantastic,and I like that they put the food in these aluminum baskets rather than a bag like many other similar locations, as it helpskeep your hands a little bit cleaner.
