Reviews for Lemaire in Richmond, VA
The service and food were excellent. We had Oysters on the half shell for our first course. My husband and I enjoyed an order of... half dozen. So fresh and flavorful. The champagne sauce that accompanied them and cocktail sauce were absolutely divine! Fordinner, I had the red snapper with succotash- incredible! I also enjoyed the Lady Lavender cocktail! My husband had an oldfashioned made with Woodford Reserve that he raved about during dinner.. We finished our dining experience with the chocolatedessert. Perfect ending. Waitstaff were great, attentive and delightful! Read more

Had an amazing experience, as always! The Jefferson Hotel is a beautiful venue that showers you with luxury. I loved my meal,... which was a Wagyu Roast Beef sandwich, with a croissant substitute. The beef was delicious and the croissant was perfection. Our service was impeccable, and the gentleman very friendly! A meal at the Jefferson is always a treat and Le Maire neverdisappoints. If just for the ambiance and historic value alone, it's worth the visit and if you time grab dinner at the very posh but not... pretensious, Lemaire restaurant. Although it's characterized as high-end there were many people dressed casually so don't letthat intimidate you . Although upscale, we both still felt very comfortable the atmosphere is welcoming. Unless you're with afamily or large group I would recommend sitting up at the bar. The bar has great views of the dining room and plenty of bar topseating is available. The cocktails were crafted very well and range in price from $12.00-o $18.00, and obviously if you havetop shelf choices it could be more . Our entrees were fabulous and the service was definitely impeccable. Plus you can alsospend some time meandering around the hotel lobby area. Don't miss the gorgeous grand staircase where the famous scene to GoneWith The Wind was filmed. Read more

We have been here several times and they never disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful and everyone is extremely friendly. The... waitstaff is completely on top of everything. They made my daughter feel special for her birthday by having her name on top ofthe menu. They know what you want before you even have a chance to ask. As amazing as their entrees and appetizers are, theirdesserts are out of this world. They have the most delicious gluten free options. Even the GF cakes are moist and delicious. Youwould never know they?re GF. Read more
The fried oysters are amazing but the butternut squash was one of the best things I have ever had. Entrees we?re good as well... but next time I am doing apps only. Pole cider mousse was out of this world, not to sweet, you will have to try it. Read more
While staying at the Jefferson Hotel, we ate here one night. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they gave us a nice... menu commemorating the occasion (pictured). Service was efficient and professional from start to finish. The food wasdelicious. I enjoyed the butternut squash risotto and I the crab cake starter. The steak was perfectly cooked and incrediblyflavored (pictured). The cocktails were well mixed, the wine list extensive and varied and we enjoyed our choice. First ratemeal in a wonderful setting. We will return when next we are in Richmond. Read more
