I haven?t been here prior to the pandemic and I thought maybe the quality of meat would have improved but that definitely wasn?t... the case. Extremely disappointed! I ordered a torta de carne asada , I literally had to pick through it to get non grisly meat. The seasoning or lack of for that matter was horrible. ???? La Milpa is on the no list for me. Read more

Friendly efficient service. Very compassionate. I was there to pick up 2 GrubHub orders 1 was ready the other had gotten... "missed." Clerks acknowledged me consistently and kept me updated, even provided me a drink while I waited. Looking forward toreturning to enjoy the food atmosphere and extensive shopping experience. This little place is a hidden gem! The fare is very reasonably priced, but there were so many options, we got multiple items... for each person in our party. There are plenty of Mexican options but you can also get pupusas and items from other cultures. Everything was freshly made and delicious, and there are several types of salsas available to choose from. There is also asmall store inside where you can find products from Latin American countries that are harder to find in regular stores. Read more

Really good Carne Asada (Grilled Steak) Burritos and Tacos. The Carne Asada Salad is good too! It reminds me of the Mexican food... back where I am from (San Diego, CA) and some of the places I have been to in New Mexico. This time I got the rice and beans onthe side rather than in the California Burrito with Carne Asada (grilled steak, rice and beans, and cheese). I was a littlebummed they didn't have guacamole (they do now), but it was still really good with sour cream! They also have a lot of differentgood hot sauces! I love the spicy red (it's kind of orangish) and spicy green (habanero, I think). I recommend trying thisplace! Update#1: The Shrimp Tacos are also not bad. Some of fam love the Shredded Beef Tacos (which are hard to find here) inDuro (hard) shell. My fam also likes the California Burrito. I prefer the rice and beans on the side (which aren't bad). I'veasked them to make a California Burrito SoCal style once (French fries inside instead of rice and beans) and they did! It wasgood! I've also had the Carne Asada Burrito with chorizo, cheese, and egg to make a breakfast burrito. Also good! You can't gowrong with this place! Update #2: I tried something different today! I had the Quesabirra Tacos and Green Chicken Enchiladas. The Quesabirra Tacos were so good! They are petty much cheese quesadillas made with corn tortillas with marinated shredded beef. You have to order the meal to get the dipping sauce/soup (I think it's the juice the meat was marinated and the tacos werecooked in). The enchiladas were not bad. I prefer red sauce enchiladas, which I don't believe they have. Update #3: We didDoorDash. We got a Mini Carne Asada Burrito, Quesabirra Tacos, and a shredded beef taco (flour shell). All was good. They forgotthe soup that goes with the Quesabirra Tacos. Thankfully I saved it from last time and froze it. Still good. I also got theirguacamole. That hit. It's a good amount of quacamole too. Update #4: I did DoorDash again. I tried Read more

Want an authentic latin taste? Then look no further. It's a combined restaurant convenience store, so they were essential... during the pandemic. All of the latino staff is super friendly and cater to all nationalities... Everyone loves the menu, andlunch combos are so rewarding. A gem of a place, and always a pleasant dining and takeout experience. Update:. 2022... Foodand service just as amazing.... Such a great place to have a nice enjoyable lunch. Read more

I have loved La Milpa's food for years. This time we were there for the celebration of Dia De Los Muertos with performance of... traditional Azteca dance troupe, followed by a special menu at $15/person. The tamales and chicken with mole sauce wereespecially delicious. Read more

Authentic Mexican culture under one roof! Don't expect English or anything fancy. I've never been to Mexico, but everything in... this over-crowded, indoor market, and restaurant made me feel like I could have been. The place is comfortably Mexicanincluding shelved chips, cookies & sodas, chachkies, racked tabloids, even over-sized pinatas hanging overhead. And of coursetheir food. I ordered the carne asada grilled steak and an all beef hard shelled taco. The shell was a little over cooked, butyou could taste a hint of ground corn in it. Both were good w lime and their red sauce. This was my first time at La Jolla andreally liked the experience. Read more
