My daughters and I were in the area and decided to try this place. We shared the pork, rice and beans plate and the Cuban... Sandwich. Everything was hot, tasty and just delicious. My picky 12 year old finished the rice and beans all on her own. Thepork was particularly flavorful! It has a very good citrus flavor to it. A good healthy portion of Platanos were served alongwith our meals, those were delicious as well! We took a slice of the Tres leches home and I personally did not like the textureof the cake or the icing, I?ve definitely had better, but my girls thought it was delicious. The only drawback for me was thesandwich was left on the grill alil too long and burnt. But Service was attentive, friendly and helpful! Thank you all for awonderful experience! We will be returning. As you can see from the pictures (3 separate occasions pictured) I really like the Pesto Tomato jack melt and would highly... recommend it. But this place is a go to for no matter what if you haven't been. If you miss this place on your visit toRichmond then you missed a little jewel of Richmond indeed. So come here and eat your heart or seafood paella out. And get somecornbread and fresh squeezed lemon or limeade! Can't go wrong here, plus the layout and decor is great! Read more
This was my first time trying Kuba Kuba. It wasn?t what I was expecting, but I wasn?t disappointed. It was difficult deciding... what we wanted and the fish delivery had not arrived so some things weren?t available. Overall I am pleased, but not sure if Iwould return. What I will say is they had a steady amount of people stopping by so I know they are enjoyed. Staff were friendlyand helpful. Food came out in a timely manner. Daily specials posted. This place is an amazing neighborhood restaurant. I've lived in Richmond for about 4 years and am now getting around to trying... this place out. And when I did, I came back 2 days in a row! Its amazing for breakfast and for dinner with drinks. Generally, Icome to places like this skeptical about he flavors since I'm latino and have had latin food all of my life. But this place blewme away! The seafood to the steak, it was all incredible. We brought family here and they all loved it as well. At first I was like ouch that price ($16-$22) is a bit much (feeding a family of 8) for paella. Good thing we only ordered 2! We... left with a takeout as well. We got the seafood and vegetarian and they were both delious and packed with high qualityingredients. We loved it and they were so thoughtful of our large family as well. Service was fantastic. Food was pretty tasty and well presented. My Smoked Salmon Tortilla was a bit overcooked and dry. I asked... for some sour cream which helped. The Cuban coffee is amazing and will cure your hangover. Tab was just over $100 for 5 of uswith tip. We had 3 dogs between us, and they did great hanging out under our tables. Read more
A couple things to say. 1. I'm not a fan of the service. But if you want left alone & not hounded, a solid choice. They... weren't unfriendly. 2. Breakfast food was solid.
